Was there not a rule at one time about this? I thought that if a certain amount of time had been played and the weather intervened the result stood. Clearly not now if there ever was, but that's a hard one to sort out. If they replay it, does the man get sent off at the same time?
Terrible decision. Typical cowardice from the EFL. Will Ipswich lose a centre half after 49 minutes? There were 10 minutes left. The result should have stood .
It’s absolutely ridiculous Apparently the lad who was sent off, will still be banned, despite the original fixture not being valid
That's the EFL for you, totally clueless and inept. Just think about that time during COVID when we had to call off a game very late on because most of the squad either came down with it or were pinged by test and trace and had to isolate. It took days for us to find out if they were going to punish us for it or not. We were basically threatened that we could lose the game 3-0 AND have a points deduction applied. I honestly think that's what they wanted to do, but because the same day others had to call off matches they couldn't. Then consider the ridiculous points per game calculations they used in the COVID abridged season and the even more stupid one size applied to all wage cap the brought in during the 20/21 season. These are just things that apply to us, not even considering other teams like Reading and Wigan's ownership. Honestly, they're inept.
Sheff Wed have now a third active embargo, this time for "HMRC Reporting", and just to add to their fun: Can't see HMRC take much nonsense from them. From comments on their forum it sounds like they're also due to make a payment on a loan secured on the ground in the next few days. The fan may be about to become brown.
Horrific. You have to wonder if this guy is all there, or in debt to some very dodgy people. This can't go on much longer.
