Had a decent game at the weekend I thought. HOWEVER Why is it that, whenever he gets the ball or is defending in a tight situation, the whole ground appears to "hold it's breath" so to speak. I think, on the whole, Titus has done well for us, but still think people expect him to mess up! Ah well.. Will be watching the match online at the weekend if I can find a decent stream.
People seem to forget that Bramble and Turner got 11 clean sheets when playing together, before the partnership was broken up last season due to injuries. Bramble has been solid in defence (when fully fit) and seems to have gotten past the clumsiness that was part of his game earlier in his career.
well, he hasn't played since September or something, and wasn't sure how the crowd would react to him... he did get pulled aside for rape (again) and drugs. And a fine from the club aswell for bringing it's name into disrepute suggests that something of substance was behind the claims. Plus going out on the skite the night after a loss isn't really showing the fans he gives a **** about their current form. Watching Titus throughout the match, he got better as the game went on i think because of the crowd. They cheered him on when he headed the ball, passed the ball, made a tackle etc, and you could see it was working on him. His confidence went up, and there were less "Oh ****, Brambles on the ball" moments.
sexual assault is not rape....... but yes, he let himself down by being in the wrong place at the wrong time - especially after the Norwich game.
I think, on the whole, Titus has done well for us, but still think people expect him to mess up! I'm one of those people. He's still the same person that was at Newcastle causing us much laughter, yeah he's grown up a bit and is much more reliable but he still has the potential to drop a bollock as the clock strikes 3.
Just to clear up though, I am a big fan of Titus, been bit of a bargain for £1m. Let's just hiope he hasn't wrecked his career with this charge hanging over his head though.
