Shame we have fallen short in the end as it has been an excellent performance.

SR have utterly ****ed it on strikers again though, don't see an iota of a chance we can get promoted with the ones we have available, think we would struggle for goals in League One.

Armstrong and Scienza joint MOTM of us?
Gathercole time?

The one little concern I have going forwards is that we played well tonight in a game which suited us in that we could press Liverpool high up the pitch. Now we have to play well against teams who will sit back.

Might well suit us playing high flying Middlesborough then

Some fantastic individual performances tonight. Clear MotM was Adarma. Worked his bollocks off getting back all game.

All the CBs did very well. Quarshie’s best game. Scienza and Jander both look decent.

The less said about Downs the better. Absolutely awful. The very least I expect of the striker is to put pressure on the opposition CBs when they have the ball. Didn’t do it once.

Yep, really good and changes incoming for Saturday. Downs though. My word, maybe Ian is right, needs a loan!

Thought Flyn was really good tonight, playing for a place perhaps. Wood, Quashie and Elia good too.
Downs looks like someone who has lost his bottle. Snatching at everything. Get him out of the limelight for a couple of months in the u21s and get him scoring.

Be interesting to see how Boro set up at the weekend. Form they're in you'd think they'd look to take the game to us given how vulnerable we've looked.
