This game is mostly remembered(for the younger element) for Blackburn equalising in the last few minutes from their keeper Friedel in 2003/4. We then went back up the other end and won by Claus Jensen(what a player he was for us) winning the game for the mighty Charlton.

Anyway, back to now, Bleakburn(have you good people ever been there?) have not had the best of starts but I am thinking they'll be top 10 come the end of the season.

Another hard game, I'll be happy with a draw.

One of my favourite games. Jensen's winner was on a par with his chip against Arsenal imo. He caught the ball on the half-volley with the outside of his foot and curled it round Friedal, just inside the post. I could only afford the cheapies then, it was £10 for me and £5 for Junior.

Good to be playing Blackburn again - used to enjoy us playing them in the prem - always seemed to be a weekday televised game so tickets were cheap at Ewood Park

Needed to make tickets cheap to go there.

Blackburn is an absolute toilet of a gaff to go to.

It's a 3pm kick off chaps - our first Championship game at the Valley this season with that time.

Agreed. Makes getting home easier. Can't be helped I guess.

I don’t - it makes it impossible to grab a decent pint in Blackheath before the game <cheers>

I dreamt last night that Kaminski dribbled the ball the whole length of the pitch, rounded his opposite number and sidefooted into an empty net.

The Wetherspoons in Woolwich is the better and MUCH cheaper option.

Woolwich is on the opposite side of SE7 from Blackheath though. A bit of a detour...
And Woolwich, not to put too fine a point on it, is not what it once was.

The detour depends on where you are travelling from of course.

Woolwich is alright once you have made it to the boozer<laugh>

I’ll stick to the Crown in Blackheath thanks - it’s a Shepherd & Neames so it’s got Hurlimanns and my discount works <cheers> happy days
