The fact that our most expensive summer signings is out for three months doesn't feel like a disaster is absolutely insane.

What incredible business they did this summer.

Definitely no need to panic. Don’t think playing as a kinda 10 suits ELF, though. Wonder if Sadiki ends up being the furthest forward - at least out of possession. The back 3 with a front two helps him as he’d be asked to play deeper as a consequence, but then we’d be left wondering what to do with our wingers (although it does get the three big bastards at the back in the team).

Moving Hume to left back and Mukiele to right back also gets the 3 big lads in the side.

They're becoming a real asset in defence and attack aren't they.

Shows just how astute we’ve been and just how good a squad we’ve got. Great point too. Fantastic time to be a SAFC fan.

Yep. Barely believable from not long back.

We'll miss him, but I've no doubts about Rigg at all. Nor by the way, would I be worried if Dan Neil played in front of Xhaka and Sadiki.

He's a good footballer and it would suit him IMO, as he always had an aye for a forward pass.

He'd need to get himself signed up first mind, or the manager just has to look at other options .

Lovely stuff. The Palace fans were very complimentary about our physicality which is a
welcome change from the vast majority of my time supporting the lads when we’ve been a pushover in that regard. I’m 60 to give some context.

    Long may it continue.
