New season of Gen V is predictably awesome, just as good as The Boys imo (it's basically the same thing anyway).
Episode 7 was short it seemed to be just setting up the finale, would have been better to combine the 2 and have a feature length finale imo.
Watching gen v season 2. Also been watching atomic on sky Atlantic... Pretty decent so far, drug smuggler teams up with a jihadist and get into some nuclear bomb shenanigans. Binged the acolyte this week too not bad but not anything special either 6/10
I'll watch the Gen V thing once all available. The Acolyte got completely panned don't fancy that at all.
The long walk Very good, very brutal Stephen King adaptation. Sticks very close to the source material with great performances from lead characters. Highly recommended. 7.5/10
Yeh I remember, Wouldn't say it was terrible tbh but starts a bit slow gains pace after about 3 episodes.
I thought it was fuking gash, but then I find that with pretty much every "horror" movie I see tbh Traditional Horrors just do t do anything for me. Much prefer psychological horrors like the purge, the exorcism of Emily rose, as above so below are probably the only "horrors" that I've ever enjoyed really.
I'd say that the Long walk is probably as psychological a film as your likely to find. The whole premise is the psychological affect the walk takes on its participants. Perhaps it being dialogue heavy wasn't to your taste. Not that many things blowing up tbf
Do you mean weapons? It was interesting enough right up until the end when the kids chase the old bird and tear her to bits... That was both awful and hilarious I thought. I'll give long legs a go and get back to you. And I don't need to see things blowing up to enjoy a movie btw.
No i meant the Long walk. It's definitely more psychological than horror. I thought weapons was very good as well and that end sequence you mentioned was excellent. I also liked longlegs but I think you might not. It's very weird. Lots of psychological stuff going on so you never know.
Finished Black Rabbit - overall enjoyable 7.9/10 ... few plot aspects defied credulity but good acting performances from Jude Law and Jason Bateman ...
