Typical Arsenal performance against big teams. Fail to create any reason chances while passing the ball around

City just score from 1 chance get to counter then looked relatively comfortable.

Silva being his usual ****y self, got tackled by Gabriel so then 10 seconds later just takes him out for yellow, then needlessly throws it (albeit not very hard) at Trossard while on the floor then falls over when Trossard returns the favour.

Arsenal are desperate Saka and Eze coming on at the beginning of second half.

Have to say I thought Arsenal would win this fairly comfortably.

City are out-Arsenal'ing Arsenal so far.

Everyone has worked out Arteta in big games. He will pick the 3 CDMs and leave most of his creative players out, in order to be solid and not to lose in the hope they score a set-piece early on. So snatch a goal and then let them pass around in front of you.

1-1 is a good result for us here, and tbh its a good result for City to go to Arsenal and get a draw

Good result yes but city are not really that good and the second someone hits haaland's ankle it's all over.

    We roll on.

Arsenal have played 2 matches against their title rivals and not won either, needing an injury time equaliser to get a point at home. All that money spent again and they haven’t improved at all.

We’re now 5 pts clear after only 5 games

Good result that. Arsenal doing what they generally always do against top teams and that’s draw the game.

Wonder if questions be asked on Pep for going super defensive. Was working but did they need to take Haaland off for another midfielder? Especially with cup game midweek could have had a proper rest.

Arsenal away to Newcastle at weekend which will be a proper tough game.

They then have a lovely run of fixtures though.
    West Ham home
    Fulham away
    palace home
    Burnley away
    sunderland away

before gets harder with spurs and chelsea.

you’d fancy they should be winning those 5 games before spurs so have to ensure we’re still ahead at the end of that as we have some tough games

    Chelsea away
    United home
    Brentford away
    Villa home
    City away

they’d have won that if Arteta had an ounce of spunk in him.

City are now 8 points behind after 5 games.

Arsenal are 5 points back after 5 games. They are headed for 76 points on current trend so they have to get on their bike.

Yep, and considering we’re still finding our feet with lots of changes, it’s the dream start

Big test is in-form Palace away next week. A draw wouldn't be bad at all, but a win would be sensational.

    Palace reality.

West ham 1 palace 2. Not great that.
Palace 0 Sunderland 0 not great that.
Villa 0 palace 3. Villa are woeful. Good result.
Palace 1 forest 1. Forest fighting with nuno.
    Chavs 0 palace 0. Meh.

So palace are alright but you have to detect a little lack of goals in there. They miss eze.

    Defensively they look tough.

Mateta always scores against us and who knows how Guehi will perform after the failed move.

I find it kind of funny, but it actually kind of suits us, but all the pundits I hear are still talking about the likes of Arsenal, City and maybe Chelsea being title favourites, whilst barely mentioning Liverpool.

Yet here we are, 5 PTS clear after just 5 games.
