Interesting to see if it stands. Seem to remember that goals get wiped out but sendings off not, although I may be wrong?
We kicked off by passing the ball backwards as per. The game was stopped and we got a free kick in their half. Why?
On that topic I heard from a Scunny fan yesterday who said the abandoned game vs Wealdstone, when Scunny were winning 2-1 is now officially a 0-0 draw, but the yellow cards still count...odd decision considering the Wealdstone manager refused to carry on with 10 ten for the final few mins.
Saw it. McBurnie got blocked by one of theirs when he set off to run down the east stand touchline. One of theirs stepped across him and took him to the ground. edit...west stand.....not east.
I like how Jak innovates and thinks outside the box rather than just following the same possession based formula everyone else does. All the little details that perhaps go unnoticed. The diagonal punt to the touchline from kick off, not playing suicide passes between the keeper and the defenders, putting the ball into the box at a set piece, leaving men back to defend when we have a free kick corner etc Is he getting these ideas off other managers or are these things he’s coming up with himself? I know Arsenal recently started the trend of putting corners into the box but don’t know where the rest have come from.
He told you wrong mate - it wasnt a goalless draw, Scunny were awarded the three points, but the goals scored/conceded in the match have been scrubbed from the seasons tally.
Thx bud...On thinking about I think he did say something about it was chalked down as a 0-0 draw for the goals to and against and that the yellow cards still stood, but Scunny got the 3 pts.
Wonder what would have happened if it was the last game of the season and Scunny needed three points and one more goal difference to go up?
Correct. It's been years since a ref decided when to start. The match commissioner and tv producer give the nod.
Just watched the extended highlights….what a fantastic team performance. Exciting football. Have we got lucky with the latest gaffa? I’m feeling really optimistic for this season, I might have to revise my prediction of a 15 place finish. Anyone else feeling positive?
We are carrying a real goal threat going forward. Still not sure if the midfield balance is quite right yet, but that will come. Looking forward to an enjoyable season
Good that the ref spotted it and gave the foul. Should actually be a booking imo - blatant, potentially dangerous foul. It's been happening more and more. Hopefully refs have finally been instructed to pick up on it.
Looking forward to watching the full game on Tiger+ on Tuesday, what I saw in the highlights has got me chompping at the bit to watch. That second goal was a beauty to watch.
