The council said they can’t put straw down as they don’t want anything on the grass that isn’t then taken away.

Well the grass is now a mud bath, so they can file that one in the ‘Crap ideas’ pile

 

Anyone with half ounce of sense in the council would have seen long before the event that was going to become a mud bath if it pissed it down. It was my first thought when you put up the pic. It must also put people off going. Although expect the country bumpkins have wellies anyway.

 

Yeah mate, we’re used to this kind of shizzle down here. 35mph westerly gale with horizontal rain… that’s normal. So thankfully loads of folk turned up yesterday.
