Sorry. Absolutely no offence intended, but the South Wales accent genuinely does make me feel queasy in the stomach. I have no idea why. Can't disagree with that. Unless he wants to know how to deal with pressure. The Leeds fans would certainly give him a fitting primer to that!
Leeds 18 - the accent must be a personal thing. We are all different!! Yep Leeds is a pressure Club - that is why you should be attracting bigger players than you have currently got. But that is due to the casino dealings of the O'leary/ridsdale era.
leeds18, if an accent makes you feel like that, better get down the docs son, we've had 2 and half years in the top flight(not one and a half) and i can easily remember our jaunts into europe(yes, with the swans, not wales, we use to get entry through the welsh cup). so have you got anything new to tell us about leeds or are just spewing out the same old crap every leeds fan been saying for the last 5 years?
I already said if youre watching it on some foreign channel its illegal so doesn't exactly support youre argument! Plus I can get every leeds game illegally if I wanted to and we have played more this season In fact it makes no difference what season I meant on what channel I bet Leeds will have been on TV more than Swansea over the last 20 years 40 years 100 years!!!!
I just went and my GP said he felt the same way. Sorry, that really changes my argument that the vast, vast majority of your history was spent in the lower leagues and shouldn't have the piss taken out of it by your own fans. Just checked that out. English Football League club Swansea qualifying through the Welsh cup. To be fair, you got past the first round on one occasion, so well done. A shining European record, and definitely earned on merit, not just geographical location. Why stop telling the truth just because you've been saying it for a long time?
Just read that a move to Elland Road would suit Keith Andrews and would be his preferred choice. Can't blame the lad, can't have been an easy decision
And here's another article saying swans can't afford him http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...get-andrews-too-pricey-for-swansea-city.html?
I don't think we can! 2million is a lot for Bates, but I do think it would be a good move buying him might persuade Howson to sign but also gives us back up if Howson doesn't sign
Not about what we can afford..its about keeping our club from following your clubs example.. In fact its Leeds who should be following the Swans example on how a club should be run.
He's got a point to be fair. Swansea spent decent money on transfers and wages, but spent within their means. That's how we should be doing it. Also, do we really want Andrews if he's as much of a tempramental little prick as he seems?
Your welcome to the old donkey, we don't value him anywhere near 2 Million, and we certainly wouldn't pay the tart £25,000 a week, he's simply not worth it, but I'm sure he's good for mugging a team like Leeds, marriage made in heaven, if you ask me. By the way we can afford him alright, but he isn't good enough, we spend wisely on players, Sinclair, Graham, Vorm, to name but a few, so you enjoy the old boot that is Andrews, because most Jacks don't want him!..................... please log in to view this image
Why were your club even in the position to think he's not worth 25k a week then? That implies interest from the Swansea end, otherwise it would be a non-story.
Graham is **** and was for us!!! Sinclair is not bad but proving not quite good enough for the premiership! Vorm is unreal and was probably missed by top clubs because scouts will have seen his height and straight away thought not tall enough! he is a great signing for you and possibly the best signing of the premiership transfer window!
In Brendan's own words. "I see the agents are doing their work at the moment and throwing out lots of names in the media. "It's that funny time of year when all sorts of names come out. "But I think people who know the way this club works know that we will not be spending £2 million on a 31-year-old, for example," referring to Keith Andrews. ..Just a vain attempt to lure other clubs into making a move for him...
Also, back in the summer the Swans were linked with Marcos Senna. A defensive midfielder on £20,500 a week. Now if we didnt push this signing due to wages, i can only laugh at anyone who would think we would attempt to pay about the same for Andrews..
at 31 then he may play for another couple of seasons but never in the premiership because he wont be good enough now. fair play to his agent..(and i hate agents) he is trying to get the player his final pay day by over exaggerating his worth. I suppose its what every agent would do but no premiership would touch him for that price....
