The main costs come down to the cost of property be housing or business premises. The country is full to overflowing. If we could go back 30 years for house values ie 3x 1st salary 1/2 second people would have a lot more extra money

Then you could add one more thing that came from Trump. Drill baby Drill. We should be getting as much oil and gas out of the north sea, up to 100% of our needs. Also get some intelligent people to negotiate with drilling companies as how come UK has to pay market rate for oil and gas yet every other country gets cheaper prices for their own country even the US the bastion of the free market gets a lot cheaper fuel

Food seems to be going up every week.

I paid £7.19 for a 750g pack of 5% mince in Tesco yesterday and nearly fell over at the price!

Which clown came up with the rules for phone and broadband pricing or rail pricing. The biggest joke allowing inflation + 3.9% increasing, no wonder productivity going backwards, should of been told inflation only, any extra up to a certain amount can be profit for companies meaning they have to work for their profit, not like now where they can basically sit on backside doing nothing whist making a profit

Unfortunately BP, or British Petroleum is only British in name and is owned by multi international organisations, mostly American.

Royal Dutch Shell is owned by Shell Oil Company, another mostly American owned multi international organisation. They also own BG who is now also the same as BP, British in only name.

Unfortunately I don't think their are many, if any UK companies operating in the North Sea. Their may be lots of British registered companies, but none are owned by UK companies, if that makes sense.

If registered in Britain on stock exchange, they are classed as British owned. All listed companies around the world are owned by many other companies from many other countries.
Anyone with a pension will own a little amount of many companies around the world.
90+% of UK pension funds invested in companies outside of UK.

Another annoying thing is sugar tax. My wife is not over weight of fat but will only drink full fat coke, so we have to pay more money for her drinks because the gov scared of offending people saying they are overweight.

Is that not a good thing though, at the moment labour are cutting their nose of to spite there face, if we were producing more than we used i might agree. We should be drilling up to 100% of our needs, then we would not need to buy from abroad. Basically giving money away we cannot afford.
