What team are we trying to be here? For all of Still's alleged pragmatism, we seem all over the place. It's like we need to decide who we are. It looks like Russ ball at the back, then lob it long which is getting us nowhere. We literally don't win any crosses at all, whether from open play or a set piece. Definitely better attempting to play through. This is Crap Will.

I think that could play a large part in if we stick with Still much longer. If Rohl is interested in the job it could make the patience levels of the club a lot shorter if results don’t start changing

 

It's obviously an option. Maybe even a strong option. But I think the ship might have sailed on that one.

If we do still want him though, then maybe best to move quickly. Many a club will change manager throughout October and November, both here and across Europe.

My point is that SR appoint crap managers. The managers you mentioned were not appointed by SR so I still think my point is valid

Let me try to offer a counter view.

If we had a centreback who could defend the high ball we wouldn’t have lost. Our defending today was abysmal - and that was not a tactical issue.

 

There's very little aggression throughout the team. It's been said before, but we're very soft and fragile.

 

I'm not usually knee jerk, and we all know it's frustrating being a Saints fan for the most part, but **** it if he is ****, bin him off and get Rohl in. We've had enough of this ****. I think the team is there.

 

No I get your point, I was just alluding to the fact that just because we haven't heard of a manager doesn't mean they're not good. Which I hope rings true for Still...

 

And every team that does the long ball seem to show us how to do it properly

This. It's very much apparent that the players out there are still seeing ghosts from last season.

 

The only aggression we see in this squad is when THB is arguing with a ref, or when Jack is pulling someone's hair.

 

Also, why do we start so slow! We give the opposition all the opportunity to set themselves and set the tempo. Every time. Must be lack of confidence.
