Urgency and purpose is the key here, we have the better footballers but they need to pass and move the ball more quickly. Mix the play up a bit and not always look to work a cross. The one time we got in was a pass through the middle, we need to see more of that and maybe some direct running at their defence too. Lets see what Leo has got or maybe J-Rob but most of all play with more tempo. The crossing obsession does remind me a bit of Pellegrino's team.

I feel the main issue with Downs is that he looks too much like Mara. We are prejudiced by seeing him on the pitch as we think oh no it's Mara. I am convinced it is that - he will come good. No way we should buy him then want to loan him out - he was bought to lead the line for us this year. He will come good, just give the poor guy a chance.
I agree to an extent. Shape looks better. Interchange has been sharp. Fellows looks really good. But our energy levels are too low. We aren’t fierce or fast enough.
People are being a bit daft about him. This is his first league start ffs. Stewart and he are much of a muchness from what I can see. Think you’re right about the Mara thing.
