What is the point in even trying to discuss when you come up with sh*t like Farage loving version. I don't work in an extremist troll centre like you so i read an article then next and so on so i have no DATABASES of articles to prove my point as you have. UK was centre of Machine tool manufacture in the world but failed to compete due to union dogma, hence no UK tool manufactures left just German and Japanese.
Actually what’s the point of debating with you when you rabbit made up things you’ve heard in the boozer and pretend they are reality but can’t give any examples. Most of what you say has no basis of fact so don’t bother. It makes you look dumb. Im sure you are better than that. Find out things instead of repeating things
Must be a very sad person just talking about work in a boozer. we generally talked about women or football. As i said i worked in engineering my whole life including working in coventry for a year and all stories came from the horses mouth you know people who actually worked at one time in these factories. Not info you find in troll farms of extremist who cannot see past the nose on their face.
On average top earners earn a difference of nearly 3.5 times more than low earners In short, companies negotiating wages for low earners are not necessarily the issue.
Read the facts below. I’ve been in plenty of work canteens thanks and people out bullshit each other with facts that aren’t true. It’s why I read into things. I’m sick of hearing total dogshit statements to justify supporting reform and you’re one of the worst on here being honest, hence me calling you out for facts. Happy if you prove me wrong with something real.
There you go again with your total batshit. when have i said i am a reform supporter, never, i said before all main parties are waste of space including reform but i say you have to vote and yes reform is the best of the worst at this moment in time, if labour improves and i agree with them i will vote labour same tory. i Don't have a database of articles to back up what i have been told as not a troll.
So you mean union leader not union rep? Mick Lynch 84k just read I never liked McCluskey for the record. I think there should be a ceiling , maximum wage .150k is too high for me but it’s frankly ridiculous to say that a union leader earns the same as a shop worker. Unless you support communism in which case state you case. What about business leaders? Presumably they should earn the same ?
There's the anti-abortion argument and wanting to remove a woman's choice and autonomy over her body. Farage bangs on about immigrant men being violent towards women. It's not exclusively an immigrant thing. It's a man thing. Plenty of British men are violent towards women but he never addresses this. He claims Andrew Tait is an important spokesperson for men. He wants to remove the Online Safety Bill which includes protections for women over things like revenge porn. He voted against the Employments Rights Bill which brings greater protection for women against sexual harassment at work.
There was a bit on the radio the other night about the £150 billion tech deal the UK had just signed with the US. An American official said it would have been significantly higher if the UK got rid of the online safety bill. Did an AI search as I didn’t understand why that was: Why the Deal Could’ve Been Bigger An American official reportedly suggested that without the Online Safety Bill, the investment could have been “significantly more.” That’s likely because: • Firms like Meta, Apple, and OpenAI—whose business models rely heavily on encrypted communication, user-generated content, or AI—may have held back due to regulatory risk. • Some companies may have redirected funds to other jurisdictions with more permissive digital governance frameworks. In short, while the UK is positioning itself as a global tech hub, it’s also trying to lead on digital ethics and safety. The challenge is balancing public protection with private innovation—and that’s where friction with US firms often arises. (I suppose that this is the crux of why Farage is against the online safety bill as he always seems to cosy up to big money. Russia, US firms, etc)
Before the trade union movement people in the UK were exploited to say the very least. Worked half to death, only Sundays off, dangerous working practices, no pensions, forced out of their homes if unfit to work, underpaid and kids forced to start working from 8 or 9 year old. Complain and be beaten up or sent off to Australian work camps. Oh and the mine, mill, factory owners made fortunes in comparison.
I live in County Durham. Our three local councillors were replaced with Reform candidates and Reform have taken control of Durham County Council.
If you want to know what drives Farage look at the people who fund him. smaller government snd less taxes for billionaires is their goal. No NHS and massively reduced public services, they aren’t trying to hide it. Sadly many of the working class who are supporting this charlatan will be the ones who will suffer the most if this cancer in British politics ever got any real power.
We had three councillors who live here covering a group of villages. They had their own councillor Facebook pages that were full off "I attended this meeting", "I sorted this out" type posts so you could see what they'd been up to. They were visible locally doing various things like organising litter picks, keeping the memorial garden tidy, Bunny/Santa drops at Easter/Christmas where they hid chocolate round the villages for the bairns to find etc. They were good at community support and organising things if anyone needed a hand. And so on. Regardless of if you side with the political party they represented or not, they were three good people dedicated to helping local people. Never heard a peep from the new councillors. They're not visible on social media and they're not visibly active in the local community. Nothing appears to be happening here and locals do not feel supported or represented. One doesn't do social media at all. One previously posted saying he admires Putin and agrees that Islam has no place on earth and all Muslims should be nuked.
