Régis Le Bris has offered an update on Sunderland’s injury situation ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa (kick-off 2pm BST). Midfielder Enzo Le Fée, who missed last week’s draw at Crystal Palace with a minor issue, is close to a return. “Yeah, probably,” Le Bris said when asked if the Frenchman would be available this weekend. The Black Cats’ boss also confirmed that Dan Ballard, sidelined for the last two league fixtures with a groin injury, is in contention. “Yeah, he should be available,” he added. However, Luke O’Nien will remain out as he continues his recovery from the shoulder injury sustained in last season’s Play-Off final. “No, we will have to wait one or two more weeks,” Le Bris explained.
I didnt expect to be saying this so early in the season. But I quite fancy is for the win here. A tight 1-0 perhaps. I think we have the legs to to get the better of the midfield. Hoping Mayenda is restored to the 9 spot personally. A little bit more from the wide men needed, but I think they have it in them. If Le Fee is fit I would get him in instead of Adringa. Having Ballard back is great news too. His threat at set pieces alone is great to have on the park.
its funny i wouldnt put ballard straight back in because mukiele and alderete have done well and thats how it works i want le fee back in but on the logic of the above, can i? difficult yet good problems to have
i think we can do it im convinced we put up 4 points minimum in the next 3 games, with 3 100% at united away. theres never a good time to play anyone, but like palace with injurues, villa arent in good nick, forsest are on a rollercoaster and united are united we could easily win all 3 and lose all 3
I'm trying hard not to get carried away but the side that's been put together and apart from the Burnley game we've put a good performance in games and not looked out of place in the league it's hard not to. Yes, there are teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City that are on a seriously different level but I think we can get at least a point of of this game. I'll go for a nervy 2-1 win
Hello fellow Sunderland fans, I have come back from the future in my modified burgundy ford mondeo. Sunderland wins this one and Bertrand Traore scores. Hope this helps with your gambling exploits. I also know who actually built the pyramids but I'm keeping that for a thread on the SMB.
Talking about the game with my lad today he reckons we win 2-1. They take the lead early in the first half, we score 2 second half goals according to him, one from a corner and one fantastic strike from outside the box
