Unless folk are instructing / requesting / advocating violence , crime on msm or social media , they shouldn’t be ‘cancelled’ etc

Comedy for instance is subjective , and you can’t cancel folk you find unfunny or offensive .

I can’t think of a comedian I find offensive . Plenty with jokes that make me think ‘ooooft’ but I generally laugh at the jokes .

 

By business decision you mean the fcc were threatening to revoke the networks licence unless Kimmel was removed, same happened to Stephen Colbert. Trump said of tv networks he perceives as ‘against him’ will ‘maybe lose their licence’. Don’t remember similar threats by other presidents. Even Tucker ****ing Carlson has spoken against this.

 

He's simply parroting what Trump and his acolytes are saying.

Have you seen the John Oliver (can’t see him lasting much longer) episode on SLAPP suits? Just another way in which people can be silenced by rich people.. such as Trump.

 

I've no doubt John Oliver will be next, or next after Seth Myers or John Stewart.

Well the the Kirk episode was pulled, however think that was more likely to be timing and respect for Kirk’s loved ones, which is absolutely fair enough, especially as it’s not exactly hard to find online.

John Oliver has brought up Trumps threats against the media for years, he was absolutely correct to be concerned.

 

The people who believe that Kimmel was cancelled due to "bad ratings" probably believe pertol is $2 a gallon... somewhere
