I would be tempted to go Pandur Coyle Egan Hughes Famewo Amir Lundstrum Slater Geldheart Joseph McBurnie
I'd personally look to make midfield a bit more solid and go with: Pandur Coyle, Egan, Hughes, Giles Gyabi, Amir and Lundstram Belloumi, McBurnie, Ndala Means dropping Gelhardt who's not really done anything wrong, but against strong opposition worth playing a little more safely
I'd go with that. Real danger of being over-run in midfield if we persist with Gelhardt in a 2nd striker role. Adding Gyabi makes us more solid
I haven't seen anything wrong with our attacking intent this season but apart from the Coventry game we've been far too open and conceded far too many goals
I'm working so I will have to listen to it on the wireless I'm always optimistic and remarkably with the transfer situation I personally think we have the basis of a good team i can't wait for the season to unfold, up the Tigers.
Yepp...In fairness the Blackburn game was a bit of an odd one. We didn't look at it from minute one, possibly down to the virus sweeping through the squad, Bristol was a brain storm, and to be fair they're a decent side.....On reflection at Swansea we turned off twice and got punished. Need to install a bit of nouce, steel and an abrasive edge. Starting tomorrow.
I think Belloumi will be on the bench initially... Serge said two weeks ago he was up to 45 minutes... cameo from Millar too....?
I would too, for most games, but a team with Sotons attacking options and pace I'd err on the side of caution
Didn’t do them any good last season , there must be some flaws surely , on paper we have a decent squad , needs to pick itself and be consistent .
Another difficult fixture tbh, would be huge boost of confidence if we can grab 3 points tomorrow, but as it stands now I'd settle for a point, get further miles in the returning players legs and another step forward to getting Crooks back (been a huge miss for us). Can't doubt the players are playing for the manager and despite our points haul so far I'm strangely enjoying the start to this season more then the last few tbh, I just have a feeling that in another few weeks, we'll be seeing the best of us.
A lot of caution in evidence about this one, a bit too much maybe? Not saying we should go gung-ho but we do have some good options now, we're the home team and we should be starting on the front foot. While a point is ok we should be aiming for all 3 from the off.
Kinnel, they've won once this season, on the opening day. They've scored a tadge over a goal a game and they set up to draw. Why are people saying this is somehow a game against a top, top side? We should be looking to dominate them, embed a few of our recent signings and lay down a marker for the season. City 3 Wave Bye Bye to the Premier League for a generation 0.
Nailed on loss. Might be my disappointment at the weather ****ing up my plans and having to go to this instead talking mind you.
