Their first was offside. Griezmann clearly in an offside position standing right in Ali's line of sight.
Hmm not sure I agree Well I do and I don’t I think under today’s standards he isn’t interfering Ali could see that - no way was he stopping it regardless imho BUT I come from the mindset that if he is on the pitch he is interfering so lol tbh not arsed - that was actually the best way to beat Simeone - hence him losing his **** 3-0 would have been boring 6-0 he would not have been arsed But - tease the little b’tard Genius if we could just have a nice simple game where we win by 3 goals - that would be nice Great if it’s this weekend lol
Disagree. You can see Alisson has to look around him and he’s late diving across because he only sees the ball once it gets closer and not when it leaves his foot.
Yesterday was probably our best performance of the season and there's still room for improvement. Frimpong frees up Salah by offering another danger on that side. Isak was taking up positions that also provided more space for Wirtz and Salah, whereas Ekitike got in Wirtz's way a bit or vise versa I felt.
Frimpong made an overlapping run and freed salah to move in and pass to gravenberch. Bradley made one underlapping run and was found for a cross but he was far too central most of the time and really didn't help salah at all. If we want our "best" players in the gsme then parking them on a touchline marked up by 2 by the time the ball arrives is not they way to go. That said salah actually ran yesterday. It was like as if a light switch went off the second the cl music started. If he is only motivated by a tilt at the cl then we need to stamp on that. He could have had 5 goals yesterday. In truth he really should have scored 3. no excuses. He had the chances. Having an actual tough game where you are made work to win the ball back is no harm to smarten up their ideas.
His numbers over the years prove it mate… oh no wait, he has multiple golden boots and a record number of player of the years in the prem… Hot theory: he was having a bit of a tough time and banging in the last minute penalty at the weekend has done him the world of good?
What do you reckon the fan had been saying to simeone. Same fan I believe was on social media so if its something offensive he's made life easy for potential punishment. However simeone doesn't want to give specifics so perhaps it wasn't otp
Salah is magnificent and just like all the best players, he has dips in performance which are sometimes quite lengthy tbf. One thing you know for sure is that whatever his current form, he comes alive in the CL.
Well a few days ago he wasn't too arsed. Yesterday he was running about pressing, chasing back, doing all the things a 28 year old.mo would be doing any day. Did we see thst v arsenal? No tbh we didn't. Its not a conclusion, its an observation.
Well that's fair enough, but I'm not inclined to think the worst of someone without a bit more evidence. As has been observed over many years, Salah has plenty of relatively dry periods but bounces back. We need a few more games before we can see whether or not it's just another example of a familiar pattern.
Being offensive isn't an offence. Unlikely to be racial or homophobic? so not much to be done if it was just name calling.
No idea. It was said to be 90mins of abuse in Simeone's own words so if stewarding and officials did nothing then who knows what it was. The sad thing is those are the most expensive tickets so really they ought to know better. There's a large entitled attitude these days. I understand the sentiment to uefa following the Paris final, but its dealt with. Booing things and cat calling over anthems was never our way in days gone by. I really dont like it.
Depends on what words used as you could get quite descriptive with choice words. Then it could be verbal assault...that said the simeone groin two handed gesture back in the previous games didn't exactly endear him to us.
Don't be too quick to judge. Videos online and comments from people in the surrounding area of one of the Atletico coaches spitting at one of our fans. What ensued was what was seen on screen ending up with Simeone ejected. The fan, who did indeed identify himself on social media, is known, apparently, for expletive filled rants and yesterday was no different as he aimed a few at Simeone leading to the assistant coach's action.
Unless it's words aimed with specificity at 'protected groups' then it's not an offence. As I just posted above, the fan involved and those around him confirmed it was generic expletives.
