Their first was offside. Griezmann clearly in an offside position standing right in Ali's line of sight.
Hmm not sure I agree Well I do and I don’t I think under today’s standards he isn’t interfering Ali could see that - no way was he stopping it regardless imho BUT I come from the mindset that if he is on the pitch he is interfering so lol tbh not arsed - that was actually the best way to beat Simeone - hence him losing his **** 3-0 would have been boring 6-0 he would not have been arsed But - tease the little b’tard Genius if we could just have a nice simple game where we win by 3 goals - that would be nice Great if it’s this weekend lol
Disagree. You can see Alisson has to look around him and he’s late diving across because he only sees the ball once it gets closer and not when it leaves his foot.
Yesterday was probably our best performance of the season and there's still room for improvement. Frimpong frees up Salah by offering another danger on that side. Isak was taking up positions that also provided more space for Wirtz and Salah, whereas Ekitike got in Wirtz's way a bit or vise versa I felt.
I don't think there is any other derby that can be compared to Merseyside Derby anywhere in the world, You see both supporters sitting anywhere in the Stadium, Certainly not Manchester Derby, or North London Derby. The only closest to it is South West Derby Liverpool v Manchester United, however this one is full of hatred among both supporters, Liverpool currently is the only team in the premier league with one hundred percent record, and Everton would be very happy to end it. Liverpool also wants the bragging rights, Game: Liverpool v Everton Date, Saturday 20/09/2025 Time: 12:30 Stadium: Anfield TV. TNT Sports. Referee has been appointed for this game. His name is going to ring a bell in the ears of Liverpool supporters, only associated with negative decisions, His name is Darren England please log in to view this image please log in to view this image England will be assisted by Lee Betts and Scott Ledger, with Bobby Madley as fourth official. John Brooks will be in charge of VAR duties, supported by Akil Howson. Brooks himself has frustrated Liverpool in the past, missing two blatant fouls on Mo Salah against Chelsea in last season’s league clash, England has taken charge of 11 Everton fixtures, with the Blues losing just once under his watch. By contrast, when the same official has overseen us in the Premier League, the Reds have managed just one win in five matches. That sole victory came in February when we defeated Bournemouth 2-0 away. Other results include a 3-0 defeat to Brighton, draws against Crystal Palace, Southampton and a 1-1 draw against Palace on the final day of last season. The appointment means a familiar name from past controversies will be in the middle once again, most notably remembered by supporters for his part in the VAR debacle at Tottenham when Luis Diaz had a legitimate goal disallowed. Liverpool facing officials with history against them.
Frimpong made an overlapping run and freed salah to move in and pass to gravenberch. Bradley made one underlapping run and was found for a cross but he was far too central most of the time and really didn't help salah at all. If we want our "best" players in the gsme then parking them on a touchline marked up by 2 by the time the ball arrives is not they way to go. That said salah actually ran yesterday. It was like as if a light switch went off the second the cl music started. If he is only motivated by a tilt at the cl then we need to stamp on that. He could have had 5 goals yesterday. In truth he really should have scored 3. no excuses. He had the chances. Having an actual tough game where you are made work to win the ball back is no harm to smarten up their ideas.
Back to 80s football. Darren england as ref? License to be a kicking match for Everton Tarkowoski will be let away with absolute murder but the second grealish flops it will ne a free.
His numbers over the years prove it mate… oh no wait, he has multiple golden boots and a record number of player of the years in the prem… Hot theory: he was having a bit of a tough time and banging in the last minute penalty at the weekend has done him the world of good?
What do you reckon the fan had been saying to simeone. Same fan I believe was on social media so if its something offensive he's made life easy for potential punishment. However simeone doesn't want to give specifics so perhaps it wasn't otp
Salah is magnificent and just like all the best players, he has dips in performance which are sometimes quite lengthy tbf. One thing you know for sure is that whatever his current form, he comes alive in the CL.
Well a few days ago he wasn't too arsed. Yesterday he was running about pressing, chasing back, doing all the things a 28 year old.mo would be doing any day. Did we see thst v arsenal? No tbh we didn't. Its not a conclusion, its an observation.
We can do that but what if we end up with 3 broken legs as well due to thst awful ref.? Im sure mr moyes will do what gollum always does at anfield. 10 men back and hope for a break while fouling and time wasting. Mr.england will indulge and enable it all game. There wont be a single cpunt on pickford falling on the ball. Tarkowski will be let off with murder. Salah will have his shirt ripped off every time.a ball goes out towards him. Grealish will.flop over after 2 mins and frimpong will be booked for nothing. They will target kerkez and Ekitike and wirtz and try and get a reaction.
Well that's fair enough, but I'm not inclined to think the worst of someone without a bit more evidence. As has been observed over many years, Salah has plenty of relatively dry periods but bounces back. We need a few more games before we can see whether or not it's just another example of a familiar pattern.
Sometimes refs need reminding that part of their responsibility is to protect players from injury and not just punish those who cause them. They should warn players who are clearly fired up before they do something rash. You do see it sometimes, but not often enough.
