Yeah, Charlton and Oxford are two very nice matches to start with, ahead of our trip there. I had thought that they might give Selles one final chance against Charlton, but I can understand why they haven't.
Wilder confirmed back at Sheffield Utd. They may have completely **** the bed with the initial decision to sack him and replace him with Selles. But they’ve acted quickly enough that they can recover from their horrific start. They’ve still got very good players for this level.
Just mad that they sacked Wilder in the first place. They will be challenging for top six by Christmas.
I know he loves the club and the city but how many times have they sacked him now ? 2? 3? I would tell them to **** off
Pompey GK out for 8-12 weeks with a fractured hand. They’ll be fine so long as everyone they face is as accommodating as us and just doesn’t bother shooting or putting their reserve under any pressure.
Another good win for Boro. Reckon they might be the real deal this season. Win today and next week and we'll be up and running. Next week already looking huge for our season.
I just hope they don't keep this up. It feels a little like Ipswich when we all hoped/expected them to fall away but they never did. I know it's early be we dont want to let the gap get much bigger.
Agreed. I don't for one moment expect Stoke to last the distance, but Boro might. They arguably have the best CM-duo in the league, and made some decent acquisitions in the summer. They're also one of only three teams to have a manager who has been promoted from the Championship before.
I stuck the Boro Baggies game on last night & have to say they look really solid. Took their first goal scorer off at half time to the confusion of the pundits only for his replacement to bag the 2nd one. Rob Edwards is a very seasoned coach at this level & they already had real quality before he came in. Odds on for top 6, could maybe even push the top 2 for me
