Sorry Lincoln how can you say that? It takes time for new players to gel but I was pleased by what i saw of our new players when they came on
Lincoln are you a manager at your job as you must be.a hard taskmaster who isn’t very good at building a team
I'm livid with our non-performance on Sunday too. But just want to move on and start scoring goals and winning games now. If we don't win this, I think the fanbase which is really fragile and on a knife edge after last season and then the build up and massive let down on Sunday, will really start to turn on Still and then some of the players and SR. Mostly we need to win, but we can't keep bumbling along not playing well either. The fans need to see a coherent gameplan on the pitch, and for us to start to dominate teams as we really should with the players we have.
I'm far more worried about winning than I am performance this Saturday. Probably a bit early to call a game a must win but it's pretty close to it really and one win in six would make for pretty grim reading with a tough game coming up next. We need to get into a winning habit sooner rather than later and hopefully with the confidence that will bring will help with performances too.
TSP said he had the most aerial duels @ x6 - lost the lot. Obviously not his fault & competed well without complaining but something’s not right. Whether that WS or players ….
Oh I agree. If we play badly but win, I'll take it because we just need to start winning. That is the single most important thing right now. The performances can build over time, but they do need to start to improve over the next 10 games imo.
I don't see it that way. You don't start producing good performances because you have won a few games. You start winning games when you are consistently playing well and putting in good performances. Something we have failed to do in all 5 of our league games under Still.
Tbh, we couldn’t wish for a “better” fixture. Hull are absolute dogshite atm. Even being away takes some pressure off. As you said 1x win in six would be atrocious. Must win for me. #bananaskin
Fair point but confidence can play a big part too and winning while not playing well is a vital skill to have when going for automatic promotion.
I actually have no idea how they've been playing. Not watched a minute of them so only judging on results which haven't been great, but not much worse than ours really. They can score but have been conceding a lot. But the Hull forum seem relatively confident and seem to suggest that they're playing well but need to cut out the mistakes that are giving goals away which will turn the results around for them. Probably too early into the season to properly judge it, but It doesn't seem like there are as many really weak teams in the league as last time we were in it.
The options are go up and get battered, or stay in this division and become a mid table side doing nothing. Exciting
Hull are probably looking at us an opportunity at home to get their season going too. They`ll try and replicate much of what the skates did on Sunday I expect.
Yo yo-ing between the championship and L1 could be fun. Could probably get upto 70+ grounds if we did that.
First become West Brom and lose your best player to a relegated ... well us... for £9m Need to keep agile down here
