Yes I agree with that on the whole, but I guess my point more was United haven't really appointed a 'proper' top tier manager since Mourinho - and even then that felt like after his powers had started falling. They keep going for up and coming ones and its not working as either they aren't giving them the time or they are picking poorly. Either they need to stick with someone or they have to try a proper leading manager. They can't keep doing this.
I have actually been told that’s what happened, albeit from a Wendies fan, who said Wilders core players were basically just disrespectful and never really gave Selles a chance. I guess he’d know just as well as a blade, they are both that invested in each others clubs
The BBC article implied that the initial signings over summer were from the AI programme - two Bulgarians and someone else from some desolate remote league. Then, it looked like they ignored the programme and went back to traditional panic signing methods in the days before the window close. No point having an expensive programme if you override it with human input, is there. Strange ownership.. but no surprise to us!
Conte's Napoli is way better team than United anyway, it would be a downgrade for him to consider them. United is in deep ****, even Onana performed well in his first match at Turkey. Whoever leaves that team having a career season somewhere, McTominay, Anthony...
Iraola and De Zerbi are probably the only two coaches I can see succeeding Guardiola at Man City. Going to Man Utd would be a death sentence for Iraola.
Shame Eham didn’t source Marco Silva 6 months earlier. Although if he did, there’s a fair chance we’d never have managed to get Acun.
