NUFC v Wolves OFFICIAL competition this competition has closed earlier than previously published this is because I am experiencing unprecedented demand due to the pandemic our staff always aim to treat you with courtesy and respect, please do likewise - offensive language, bullying and harassment will not be tolerated voting is now open and the door will slam shut at 9pm on Tuesday 16th September Some notes about the difficult entries we received - Had the mods done their job then @Magdad would clearly have been disqualified for misogynistic racism - which is quite a mash-up of human rights violations - but the mods failed, so there it is - but don’t vote for it An ineligible second entry was received from Rim and Sack for 2 - and ironically it was much, much, much better than his original entry - but I won’t repeat it here as it may attract sympathy votes. Munse breached the wordcount rule with “We sold our best player and wolves got Woltemaded.”… which is senselessly **** even with the additional two words @cronemeister breached the entry rules by both using too many words AND disrespecting the competition committee…. so his first entry was disqualified but was still counted as an attempt to play; which meant a later - and much better - entry couldn’t be put forward @Obi Wan also attempted a second entry despite the clearly stated first-comment-is-your-entry rule (see ts&cs) - that second attempt brushed up against beastiality and was again worthy of mod intervention - but they let it pass AGAIN. Anyone with a pet should NOT vote for Obi - I’ll say no more

Also the post in question was referred to the Mods for review and was found to be perfectly acceptable, given the very specific instructions from the Gamesmaster to create attention grabbing headlines. The post was deemed to be a legitimate entry and one member of the Moderation Panel even said it was his fabourite entry.
The Competition Panel has decided to close this week’s competition earlier than previously advertised. This is because I’m bored of it we are unanimous in our award and believe there’s no merit in keeping the result secret any longer. Decision 1) The Panel has considered the entries submitted by players and has familiarised itself with all available evidence. 2) The Panel conducted a public consultation on the entries (using a ‘polling system’) - the Panel thanks the public for its participation and has given due consideration to its views 3) Taking account of the submissions, adherence to rules, creativity, the consultation evidence; and then applying the Panel’s expert judgment our decision is; This week’s Certificate of Excellence is awarded to @Maximin Effort with - “Murphy Provides as Wolte-Made Scoring debut” Max’s entry included reference to both the assister and goal scorer, cleverly hyphenating our new striker’s name and using the artistic conceit that he could be called ‘Wolte’ for short … and that ‘Wolte’ made his scoring debut. The Panel did consider whether Max might have failed the integrity and originality test as we noted that @CaraMatt had in fact used that conceit FIRST. Many other Panels may have decided that Max was simply copying another players work - a form of intellectual property theft really. But, after discussion we decided that in the interests of encouraging future participation we would abandon the usual shenanigans on here and award the Certificate to someone other than the thread author It’s hoped that Max will reflect and recognise what he did, which was both creatively redundant and lacking honest endeavour, and donate his Certificate to the charity of his choosing. We REALLY did view that Max’s entry was devoid of artistic authenticity - and we encourage CaraMatt to delay any future entries so that this kind of plagiarism can be avoided. Because if Max hadn’t cheated like this then CaraMatt was the obvious winner, then Chippy in second (assuming Max was rightly disqualified) Effectively Max is just a patsy winner But we take nothing away from Max’s achievement and wish him all the etc etc etc I hope the fairness of this competition ushers in a new era of trust and decency (except for @Magdad @Rum & Black for 2 @Obi Wan @cronemeister who’ve proved utterly incapable of those attributes!) The Panel
Well done @Maximin Effort well deserved. And @CaraMatt 's entry was utter ****e in comparison - and.got the joint fewest amount of votes. So don't listen to a word of his bitter, sore-loser, drivel. He's off to cry with a box of soft centred chocolates and a cuddly toy.
Stop the steal! I was a shoe in for election as chief nonsense writer and I demand a recount, or a re- continuation of the poll, or something!
It's a total disgrace. He's the worst Gamesmaster we've ever seen. And there have been some really bad ones. Really, really bad.
Not even 20 hours worth of voting time. Poor hard working folk like Chippy (who is also in a different time zone right now) didn't even get a chance to add 15 votes to his entry and steal the win. That's how corrupt this game is. Shameful.
an adjudication meeting has just been held between me and my socks and we’ve decided that I’ve won and Matt just got sent to the big house with a thread ban to his under hand sneaky as **** behaviour. Integrity is at play here so we have standards to maintain.
