They did have one that the lad should've buried instead of putting it around the post

A Sunderland player will never win one of these polls unfortunately, as long as there is an option from one of the "big 6". They just have far too many worldwide fans voting for them.

I know its been done to death over the seasons since KLD came and got Speakman in but if someone had told us before that the club would consistently make signings that proved to be a success, improved the team and went up value through their performances while here we would have thought them mad! Years and years we had of signing players that rarely improved the team and other than a few instances lost value as we over paid for players who were for the most part poor and on nearly every occasion didn't have that professional mentality.

Its night and day from the Short era where we spend money but never seemed to improve!

    I'm waffling!

Imagine how good he can be at RB as he says that is his favourite position (I know Huuuuummme will have something to say about that) and Geertruida at CH if that is his best position (I know BIG Dan will have something to say about that also).
Exciting times ahead me thinks :emoticon-0136-giggl

Former Premier League striker Charlie Austin has once again voiced his confidence in Sunderland’s ability to stay in the top flight this season, describing the newly promoted side as a “breath of fresh air” following their gritty 0–0 draw against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Austin reiterated his belief that Sunderland have what it takes to avoid the drop.

“17th and above. I don’t know, there’s just something there,” he said. “I just feel like the standout signing — and we’re going to keep talking about it — was Granit Xhaka. He’s been brilliant for Sunderland to get back in the Premier League.”

“Sunderland, I think they’ve been a breath of fresh air since they’ve come back to the Premier League. Nobody can come out and say, ‘You didn’t give it your all.’ They’ve brought new players in, spent big money, and now they’re in the situation that they are now — so you have to say full credit to Sunderland.”

“He brings that experience, that know-how, and he’ll be able to help the younger players but also lead from the front and dominate in the middle,” Austin said earlier this month. “For the three games that he’s played, he’s been superb.”
