Both sides know he cannot resist the club. He is a die hard fan. He would do anything to help that football club.

Whethee he should is a different matter. I am not convinced the club is setup for success personally.

    Confirmed, he’s back

The club ****ed up by getting rid, he did a cracking job last season with 90+ points. He’s a Sheff United fan so I don’t think he’s crazy, he cares. They’ll start picking up results now

100% I can understand up to a point why he might be disliked as a character. But as a football manager he really is a good one. The sacking in the summer was really bizarre.

Very good manager at Championship level

Started last season on -2 and finished on 90 points! Would’ve been promoted in a normal season. Last year there was just 3 very good sides (Leeds and Burnley also)

They are a club with challenges I believe. He has the experience to steer them through what I think may prove to be a couple of difficult years. If the folk involved who know little about football let him lead on football stuff that is.

Has anyone got a list of Sheff Utd's last 7 or so managers? Am I right in thinking Wilder is in it three times and Heckingbottom in twice?

Something like that, though Heckingbottom was a caretaker initially for about three months after Wilder was sacked the first time. He got it permanently after Slavisa Jokanovic was sacked and was manager for two years afterwards. Wilder then replaced Heckingbottom.

The other two managers, Jokanovic (about five months) and Selles (about three and a half months) totalled twenty seven games between them in about eight months combined in charge.

Not a coach but surprised to see Weir replaced at Brighton. I always had the impression he was incredibly highly rated down there. I suspect he can pick his next club from an elite group.

Lose on Sunday, without scoring and I think he could be on the fringes.

Pressure would certainly mount. Really tough game on Sunday despite their slow start

Aye, but to be fair, Moyes on the whole is a really good manager too. West Ham proving that now. Wilders CV more than stands up imo, as does Moyes.

Moyes is a good manager, as much as I hate to admit it. Can’t stand the bloke

Me neither. His attitude at our place was awful. That is the bit I dislike. But on the whole he really is at the higher end of the management tree. Maybe a bit long in the tooth for some, but as he prove at West Ham and now is doing again at Everton, he is a result getter.
