We allowed Hull to dictate the latter part of the game and succumbed to the pressure in the end....perhaps the captain should have told the forwards to put a bit of pressure on the Hull defenders. Still another point in the bag
I’m guessing that it will take a few games for Sheehan to know the new players, best formation, best combinations etc
I am still bemused by the poor crowds considering the pretty good football on offer. Unfortunately Sky has a lot to answer for. Take this Wednesday for example....The game is on Sky at 8pm and although the club have dropped prices substantially there apparently has only been a take up of about 9000 so far. I would expect families and young children will stay at home because of the televised spectacle and school the next day....and there is the awful weather to factor in...
We take our grandson (who is 9) to matches. 8pm kick off time day before school is a no no for us, especially when he can watch some/most of it on tv. Fans are fickle - as the late Brian Thomas told me when we were together on the Neath RFC committee in the 1990s: there are hard core fans and then there are success chasers. Win win, win and they will come ….
Taff that is very true....the season we got promoted at the Vetch and moved up to the.com crowds were pretty average until say the last 6 home matches when the fickle ones saw some light at the end of the tunnel...likewise when we won promotion under BR...
Well I was right, there was 4 goals in the game, shame they weren’t in the order I thought Was disappointed with the game a little, there was so much promise before and for me some of the game. I’m taking Taff’s angle on this, the players have to bed in and the gaffa has got to get the right mix
