One of the best British groups, with a unique, style but somehow derided for being 'too clever for their own good'.

Rick Davies was a big part of a band who were, at one point, one of the biggest in the world.

Inventive and worth listening to again ...

... I have a tradition that I play the music of any artist who's passed away and am doing that now.

I went to see Supertramp at Sheffield City Hall and was enthralled, great musicians, melodies and memories.

Superb band. I drive for a living and listen to bland radio all day. One of the few groups where I turn the volume up. Still sound fresh today. Gutted.

Seen them at Newcastle City Hall. An often used term, but they were absolutely brilliant.

RIP Rick, and thank you for the music, everyone was listening <ok>

Rick was a fantastic singer and songwriter. He was the best of the two in Supertramp IMO, but they worked well together for a long time. Rick had a real talent for wry lyrics and a bluesy sound.
He had been suffering from a rare cancer I think.
.RIP Rick. Another good one gone.
