Portsmouth had the ball, but didn't do much with it. Portsmouth thrive on the counter so giving them the ball is a good idea.

If our passing was better we'd have been in behind them even more. Have to get that part right in the second half.

Just don't agree with the sentiment that that's the only way to play this match. We should be playing far far better than we are. We look clueless as to how to get it forward. Like others have said we're relying on the long ball with Archer and Fraser...

 

Awful. They dominated the half. We are punting long and giving the ball away constantly.

 

For the people complaining about passing around the back, you need to do that to draw the team onto them and then pass around the press. We just haven't executed the second part well so far.

I don't like all the passing around in our own half but the attacking players have to find space for the ball to go forward and they aren't!

Well they've comfortably been the better side. Feel like we're playing their game instead of ours.

Fraser looking most likely for us to create something, game passing Azaz by a bit. Feel Robinson can have a real impact here.

The fact that Portsmouth have been dominant despite mostly kicking the ball out of play is fairly damming.

 

I'm struggling to see a game plan from us and Charles and Downes in the middle don't appear to have any chemistry at all. We need to try and dominate the midfield and get good possession to the creative players in forward positions, poor Cam is just chasing shadows up front.

 

Halftime is where Still makes his money. Hopefully he corrects our mistakes and we come out a different side.

 

Nervy as ****. They've been by far the better side but so far have lacked the quality in the final third.

They're down to their second/third choice keeper and yet we've not really tested them.
