It really isn't. Yes slow it down but play it forwards instead of messing around at the back with it.
I agree, let Manning take them from the right. Very scrappy first half, nobody distinguished themselves at all, although Charles was effective as a blocker and even started a few moves, which came to nothing because we kept passing it straight to them.
There were a couple of decent moments in that half but it wasn't great was it? Up til now I've accepted it's early days and we have a makeshift squad but looking at today I'm a bit confused about what we're trying to do. I thought Still's teams were known for high pressing but I haven't seen much of that. I also don't understand why he keeps starting our smallest strikers when we're playing so direct so often.
Criminally bad first half. So much space between defence & attack. Missing matty big time. Gotta switch out one of Charles or Downes for me & get Robinson on for Fraser. Need some more energy!!

Well, giving the ball away aimlessly and repeatedly doesn't seem to have achieved the results we were hoping for. Maybe we should try not doing that in the second half and see where that gets us.
But it isn’t at all. We created a decent chance and changed the tempo in our favour by actually holding the ball. Sorry, but our fans are too scarred by Martin and need to accept passing the ball is a good thing.
