Surely we have different philosophies now. Wrexham...quick fix for a rags to riches disney story. Get in the names that people ( who don't really know about football) think will guarantee them promotion. Big names that have played prem football QPR.blown all their money and do not have a sustainable business model...unless we generate cash from youth and sales...and hope that the moons align for enough time to get promoted
It’s very early in the season to draw many conclusions about them or any team. Despite what was a shocking performance mainly I think a lot of those signings make sense. The squad that came up would’ve really struggled. Parkinson is an experienced manager but maybe a bit out of his depth for a team aspiring to be at least comfortably mid-table this season and building most of a team at the same time. But Moore, Sheaf, O’Brien, Doyle (loan) and even Coady make sense if he can get the tactics right. Some really basic errors from them for the first and third goals. As hilariously slow as Coady was for the third, the manager/goalkeeper are surely aware of Burrell and the keeper needs to be starting ten yards higher when they’re pushing up the pitch. At the moment the game plan seems to pretty much be to get it wide and hope Moore gets on the end of a cross which isn’t the worst plan but doubt he’ll keep up his form or fitness.
Seems Reynolds is looking at replacing Parkinson, he hasn't blown £30 million to be in a relegation scrap...
Wrexham bang on about their home record but this is Parkinson's record in the Championship record which stands at just 27 wins, 38 draws, and a whopping 81 defeats from 146 games in charge at second-tier level at various times.
Sounds like us heading back into the Premier League with a crew of over the hill "has beens", the like of Shawn Wright-Phillips on lucrative five year contracts.
