I’m the same. I really have no interest in football other than Sunderland, the clubs results and those that might impact them. I didn’t watch one game of the last World Cup and the Euros I can take or leave.

I'm on holiday and didn't know England were playing and who against last night, very surprised by their result this morning.

    PL games this weekend -
    upload_2025-9-10_7-19-0.png

ones in yellow are the coaches I feel are under pressures,

Yes I know its strange that I have highligted the mags, but lose this weekend, to wolves, at home and i think the natives will get restless, CoZ iTs OuR YeAr lIkE.
and the owners will get stabby,

    in the EFL,

Sheff Utd lose to Ipswich Friday night Selles is gone, and likewise,

if Ipswich lose, Mckenna could be under pressure

Bottom half of the Championship -

Sheffield UTD lost 5 0 to Ipswich. Such fine margins after our play off final and how taking the risk they did with signings to get promoted backfired. They were favourites to beat us and were 20 minutes from the promised land of the premier league. Now they lost to us , sacked their manager , are in financial trouble I assume, lost their 1st 5 games , bottom of the league and just tanked 5 nil.

Amazing how quickly things can change in football. IF we hadn't gone up we would have lost our loan signings Mepham and Le Fee. Jobe would have gone but for less money I assume. We would also have lost a few other players picked off by other clubs, and our incoming signings would have read totally different to what we have been able to bring in. It's a funny old game isn't it

Just seen that Rangers got beat again. He's got to be toast that fella. Absolutely clueless.

But it was so obvious wasn't it ...

... he's an appalling fraud and quite an unpleasant man.

Very arrogant, his way or the highway.

I get similar vibes from Ange tbh. I don't think he will last long at Forest either.

Yeah, he doesn't 'care' if they get beat as long as they play attacking football. <laugh>

I think Postecoglou is typical, pugnacious Aussie, chin out and defiant. And that isn't going to buy him much time. A bit of humility would give him more leeway, but refusing to adapt and accept your mistakes and coming across as a tit when called out about it won't win you friends. It'll make more turn against you. His style of play might work in weaker leagues or if his team is light years ahead in quality than others, but in a league as competitive as the EPL you adapt or fail, you can't just rely on being "better" than others. I don't think he'll last long at Forest either, whether it's the fans turning on him after a bad run or Marinakis getting fed up, I doubt he'll be manager there next year.

Selles has been sacked by Sheff Utd

Martin next to go from rangers I reckon, Parkinson on the chopping board apparently too.

Selles was on a hiding to nothing there it’s a really strange one.

Looked a decent appointment but looks like fans, players the lot had no time for him.

Canny comped that so early into a contract like.

Martin and Potter got to be on ropes, I could see Mourinho at Rangers and Nuno at West Ham by end of week.

Mental decision making by Sheff Utd. They pied Wilder off despite getting a points total that would usually mean you get promoted, and after he lost a playoff final in the 95th minute. To get a man who has a completely different style who had hardly pulled up trees anywhere else.

Now it looks likely they'll go back and get Wilder. If I was him I'd tell them to do one.

Aye, there’s failing to go up as favourites, and there’s ’failing to go up as favourites due to an extraordinary set of circumstances and the teams above you breaking records’

Not a Wilder fan in any way shape or form but he was a fit for the club.

Whoever left them with such an unbalanced squad is responsible for their start to the season.

Definitely Nuno, W Ham would be mad not to get him. But can Rangers afford Jose?
