Ladies and Gents. We have a premier league team. Today was proof of that.

Over time we will get better. But for now Regis and everyone else are doing us proud. As are the fans. Sounded class agaim today.

It must be hard for Neil captaining us to promotion and now not getting a sniff of action. I cant help but feel sorry for him, but football can be brutal at times. I did worry that we were relying on survival having him play in the Premiership.
He's a good player but often loses concentration at vital moments and that would get severely punished at tbis level. He must look round the training pitch now and regret us getting promoted sometimes.

I doubt he regrets us being promoted, he is one of our own and is probably over the moon we are back in the premier league

Local lad helped get his team back to the prem, he may be frustrated but he will be happy we are in the prem. There are some quality additions in cm but it is upto him to learn from them and push himself to be the best he can be to give the manager something to think about.

    cheers again RTB...

good point that mind, both teams showing respect was good to see.

across the 90 i would say palace won it on points but we kept them on the ropes much of the time, liked seeing our lads talking through the game and helping each other, talbi and adringa need a 'nice' game or two to gain some confidence as both good players but (i think) trying a bit too hard, hardest part is central and it will take a few games for them to fully gel but nowt there to complain about.

all of the defence we have seen so far have done a solid job and it was the main area i wanted to see people in to make it stronger.

MotM for me is roefs, another excellent game from him.

ref watch, no complaints but is it just me or are refs letting a lot go now, seems to be far less of these silly fouls given, you know the type 'he touched me so i fell down', refs are now deciding it really has to look like a decent amount of 'force' is needed...i hope they keep it up as it will make games far better.

Excited to see Mundle back soon, think he could be a big player if he stays fit for us.

If he has regrets he needs to go. If he wants to better himself, he must recognise he has to get better. It’s up to him to be his best self.

Agree. Dan will have seen the levels in training and matches now, if he wants to stay and fight for his place then the ball is in his court. If he doesn't, then it's a big thank you, we move on and good luck for the future from me.

Really battling performance today. I thought we matched them for 75 mins and were maybe the better side for the 15 min spells either side of half time. They dominated the last 15-20 mins and we have Roefs to thank for the clean sheet. The biggest take away for me is that we look like we belong at this level before the team has even fully gelled. Of course there are bigger tests to come, but the first 4 games have given me a lot of of confidence in this squad.

Agree, I thought the ref was great, today. Didn't try to make himself the centre of attention. Let the game flow.

What's absolutely crazy is the side that drew at Palace is worth much more than it cost ...

... that really isn't how things are supposed to work <laugh>

I was at work all day so I missed the match, but catching up through the thread has been great. It seems a deserved point (I'd have taken a draw before the game, Palace are a very good team) but most importantly we seemed to have been at a similar standard to them and been very competitive for much of the game. It's still early days, but it's been a great start and there still seems to be a lot more to come from us. Happy days!

Not for SAFC in the Premier league anwyay! PVA and Bent who else in the premier league made us a profit?

I know Phillips did but we lost money on that due to needing to sell after relegation

Fair to say Roefs and Alderete worth at least double what we paid already.

Sadiki we’d want a lot for already.

At this point I think quality up top is the missing link but time may prove me wrong

We could sell Sadiki for £50m and it wouldn't be enough. Unfortunately, its the comb that they can't afford. <laugh>

Sadiki is £50m and the comb is £200m and they come as a pair. Start the bidding now Florento Prerz....

He also hasn’t signed a contract for two years. If he had of done I’d have sympathy. Others have, so tough ****, for now.

The equivalent of buying them for 6 million during the Roy Keane era, just absolutely wonderful business.

I bang on about valuations quite a bit, I love seeing the squad value rise.

Its quite plausible, despite it being early doors, that a few of these lands will command sensational fees for this recently very feeble club.

A world away from James Vaughn on a free, dropping 20 million on an "out of sorts" Bryan Brobbey.

I am convinced Roefs commands 50 million if the idiots at Man United came for him. Sadiki and Diarra look like they could bang for 50 million each, easy.

I won't go on, because I want to wait till Jan to revisit, but I see this wonderful vision.
