We’ve had such a good reaction following the Coventry game. It could have gone either way. Stephan appears to be a fast learner and calm under intense pressure. I was one of those thinking he wasn’t up to it after THAT game but hopefully he’ll be proving alot of us wrong
Brilliant. What an enjoyable afternoon watch...and well worth the QPR+ payment...very happy for the club to have my money if I get to watch more games like that. Superb.
I wouldn’t say we did. We look vulnerable in midfield which is to be expected. If he stodges it up after an hour we’d have had no stress the way it was going. They made positive subs and we waited too long and probably would have ****ed it if their defence wasn’t slower than rust and Burrell didn’t pull off such an unlikely finish. Defensively I thought we dealt with their limited offering quite well but the ball went into the box far too often because we couldn’t get a grip of the ball. Doesn’t matter now. Back at Chester on the long but glorious slog home. People singing “Ingerland” at Chester station.
Did anyone do a Madsen watch. After seeing he was our 12th best player today according to BBC i looked at previous ratings. 12th, 16th and 13th for previous 3 matches? Obvs don't know how they work out the ratings, however to me it just reconfirms what I have seen with my naked eye Surely Haydn, Field or Morgan improve our team again in Madsens position. A great result but can improve again if Madsen is out of the starting 11. Apologies to those who think Madsen deserves a chance, but I personally think he is **** and shouldn't be anywhere near starting 11! We could actually have a really good starting 11 How was Nardi an improvement on Walsh by any chance?!
How many flippin’ chances does the useless twat get and no apologies to the one who thinks otherwise. What do the last two managers see in him
My honest assessment is he was… ok. He bottled a 50-50 in the first half in a way you’d see in an under 9s game but he did play a few nice, fairly unspectacular passes to keep the ball moving. Better teams than Wrexham will punish that midfield I’m sure but I wouldn’t say he was bad. I wouldn’t say anyone was bad. Mostly ok with some good which was enough.
Playing with Madsen the last 2 games scored 6 & conceded 2, so doing something right or not? Be interesting the selection next week with others back

Why waste time basking in the glow of an excellent result when you can focus on slagging off Madsen, eh?
Alluding to my Sheffield comment: I have only been there once, we lost 7-1 and it was ****ing taters. I have also watched the Full Monty. These are my two references for an opinion! You RRRRRRRrrrrsssss!!!!!!
Nothing will detract from an excellent away win but the midfield debate is an important one for us. Madsen is an unlikely footballer but if it's a choice between him or Sam Field then give me the Dane. He seems to have the vision if not the skill and strength, and at least the ball goes forward now and again. Having said that I'm hoping Kieran Morgan can grow into the pivot role for us.
Madsen has been a poor signing and you can see why other clubs decided against signing him. At best he has been ok. I don't think he adds anything to the team, infact I think we would be better without him. He was annoyed that Varane didn't play a 30cm pass to him today cos he couldn't be arsed moving. The win was great today and some good performances. I've seen more from Harvey Vale in 120 minutes of football than I've seen from Madsen in 35 games and that sums him up for me.
I think the last three halves have made it blatenly obvious that we need to play with two strikers (Kone and Burrell). I am still buzzing about how we played today
