Looks like the shooter's opposition to Kirk was left wing. Best outcome would have been if he was similar to the two guys who tried to get Trump, a crazy and a Republican disaffected with Trumpism. Trump's never really successfully mythologized them as left wing, that will likely change now.

The Kirk shooter looks to have grown up immersed in gun culture, there are family photos of him with weapons.

 

Where are you getting the left wing thought from? Everything seems to be pointing towards this groyper wars thing (unless there's new info?)

Yes, those are all Groyper things. I didn't know anything about it previously (it's a Gen Z/4Chan thing) but check the threads I posted previously (and google Groyper).

 

More seriously though, people really don't seem to be able to decide if he was actually left wing or a Groyper.

The biggest factor in this from my reading seems to be that he was utterly terminally online.

 

All the stuff on the bullet casings are Groyper stuff. It's pretty clearly that rather than left wing stuff.

I actually think this is little to do with (actual) politics, and lots to do with the poison that the dark corners of the internet can infect people with.

 

The "Groyper Wars" target was Charlie Kirk.

Nick Fuentes appears on one of the Louis Theroux documentaries where he goes out to America to talk to radicalised people. He's a very, very strange individual.

Now an adult president would take this head on and say that individuals radicalised by these groups ON EITHER SIDE OF THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM are a clear and present danger to society, and would suggest that the government should start taking on these dark corners of the internet.

But that would take an adult, and we don't have one of those.

Trump was just asked about the shooter and changed the subject to talk about his new ballroom. His entire family was MAGA, according to his grandma. The right are trying to say college made him a lefty - but he dropped out after one semester. He sounds like a 4chan loon, for sure.

 

Yeah I saw that from Trump. Swerve manoeuvre. The thing is, there’s a genuine chance for him to do some good here, and start tackling these characters like Fuentes and the poison of places like 4Chan, but he won’t. Sadly.
