Interesting: it looks like the killer comes from a Christian pro-gun republican household and appears that he himself HAD been a Trump supporter until recently but now has become anti-fascist and anti-authoritarian and had a particular dislike for Kirk personally. Wonder how safe he is in prison? I imagine there are groups on the inside that will probably make things pretty horrendously bad for him. He's not going to have any allies in there. I suspect he won't get the death penalty since he turned himself in and possibility of mental illness... although other inmates will probably make him wish he did.
