ROLES FOR GEERTRUIDA/TRAORE Regis Le Bris has explained the plan for both Lutsharel Geertruida and Bertrand Traore, suggesting that Geertruida will predominantly be deployed at centre back while Traore will be seen at the Patrick Roberts replacement at right wing. GEERTRUIDA IS VERSATILE “I believe that his best position is probably centre-back. I think that is his main target, but he is really versatile. When we speak about positions, we speak about different roles. He can play at centre-back, but he could also play a bit wider or even in the midfield. We will try to exploit this profile, and we will see what the opportunities will be in the next few weeks.” ALL-ROUNDER “I think he is a really well-rounded player. He can defend, he can attack and his versatility will hopefully help us to build up the play. He can manage different positions through possessional play as well. We will see how things develop with him because it is still only five or six training sessions that we have had with him now, as well as some sessions of video analysis. Now, he will start having different experiences with us, and hopefully that will help him add some different layers.” SQUAD DEPTH “It’s a question of momentum. We have many options now, which is really positive, but we know the journey in the Premier League will be long and will have different experiences. Hopefully not, but there will probably be injuries and suspensions to contend with. We know that with these eight or nine defensive players, they will all have opportunities. Now, the momentum is positive, so I think that the players who have been starting deserve to keep playing. Then, we will see during the game and then later whether something needs to change.” TRAORE “I think it could be close to the role of Pat Roberts for the beginning of the season. He has this profile. I think he can play in different positions but I like him as a right-winger, left-footed, creative with the ability to change the game. And in 1v1, in combination play, he's a good finisher. He can create against deep blocks and he can create in transition. We'll see after that if he can fit as a starter. Probably he can compete for this, because of his background and his experience. But at least, I think he has this ability to change the game."
Came across quite a few videos from unbiased content creators about Geertruida and they are of the opinion he WILL be our best player and come the end of the season it’s likely he’ll be our POTS. Big claims and i don’t think anyone has any idea how true they’ll be but it’s quite reassuring to see such positive opinions on him.
Hi mate, I've not used these before. Is it possible to access them on PC through an app or something? Or do I need a firestick?
Cheers RTB. Tough game but looking forward to seeing how we are progressing. Like their manager and enjoy how they play but fancy us to sneak it just have a feeling this will be another step up the ladder
They've had a little disruption in the transfer window, as have quite a few clubs tbh, so we can hopefully cause them a few problems ... ... in fact the window has affected, Wolves, Newcastle, Forest, etc. Every little helps.
I see a lot of ‘pundits’, ‘experts’ and YouTube football ‘presenters’ are mainly predicting a comfortable Palace victory. I can see why Palace are favourites. Very solid prem team and a European side at home to a newly promoted team. However, they’ve lost Eze and have a couple of key players injured. We may spring a surprise if we stay solid and clinical on the break. I’d absolutely love 3 points here. Not just because it’s another positive result, but just to make the rest of the league and all these ‘experts’ go “Well, **** me. These aren’t pushovers.”
How have we managed to get him here mind! And some jokers insisted KLD was only here to take money from the club! Hats off to him for getting heavily involved in getting an absolute winner into the club! This kind of attitude from the captain will help set very high standards. HWTL!
Love this man and everything he stands for. He'll be the most important signing we make this season on and off the pitch. I feel bad for Dan Neil, but this is a different level now.
It must have affected Newcastle in a good way though Smug, one their loyal and trusted has just been on the local news saying they have the same team as last year except they have lost one striker and gained two better ones
Haway the lads. Feels like ages since the last game and the excitment levels are through the roof. We aren't going there to make up the numbers, we are going there to give everything
Nice to be going into tough games like this with our chins up and a realistic shot at getting a result, what a window we had. I'd be happy with a draw but who knows.
Wonder if he brings geertruida straight in or stick with mukilele. Looking forward to this, international break felt like it’s been on for months. 2-1 the lads
