Highlight reels are always to be taken with a pinch of salt. Particularly when you include among the best moments, a clip when he is cornered by two defenders and he chips it over them both for a goal kick.

He also blocked a few crosses. Put in a cross that went for a goal kick. It didn’t feel much like a highlight reel, more of a compilation of all the times he touched the ball in U21 football.

Bit like that JJ one with us? :emoticon-0105-wink:
Btw, I'm not saying he's any good. I don't know. Here's clearly got a bit of talent and trickery though. I just put the video up there for people to see as there hasn't been one posted so far - nothing more.

Yet another shoot him down before he’s kicked a ball scenario. Go get him cowboys.

    You're right.
The negativity and cynicism on here from some, on all sorts of stuff, is just unbelievable these days. It's like some just want to see the negative in literally everything City related. But then next breath, if we win a couple of games on the trot, we'll be promotion contenders. Bizarre.

I very much agree that we should judge City players against the level the team was at the time rather than in absolute terms. That said Mark Greaves certainly wasn't as good as his son, but Mike Edwards could make a case for being as good.

Sorry, not sure if I am reading correctly, but are you saying Mike Edwards was as good as Jacob Greaves?

If so, no way. Mike Edwards was a competent 4th Division defender, as was Mark G. I liked them both and both were good for City.

However, Jacob Greaves is a class apart of both.

Do you want to try reading it again, but without skipping the first sentence?

Antonio Doncel was better than Mike Edwards to be fair. Jacob Greaves is worlds apart.
