Hayden Matthews & Adrian Segečić - the duo are both in the Australia squad for the 'ANZAC Soccer Ashes' against Antipodean neighbours New Zealand.

The sides meet in Canberra on Friday before the return leg in Auckland on Tuesday, September 9.

Luke Le Roux - the summer signing is named in the South Africa squad for two crucial World Cup qualifying matches.

Bafana Bafana take on Lesotho on Friday before hosting Nigeria on Tuesday, September 9.

Terry Devlin - the versatile 21-year-old is in the Northern Ireland squad for the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Michael O'Neill's side will look to get off to a good start when they visit Luxembourg on Thursday before a huge contest in Germany on Sunday.

Makenzie Kirk - Pompey's deadline day signing is in the Northern Ireland under-21 squad that are starting their quest to qualify for the 2027 UEFA European U21 Championship.

They visit Georgia on Tuesday, September 9 in Group F, which also contains Germany, Greece, Latvia and Malta.

Australia played New Zealand on Friday night. Australia played poorly and were lucky to win 1-0. Neither Matthews or Segecic got onto the pitch. However, the poor performance may have created a better chance for them in the return fixture on Tuesday.

Unfortunately the Pompey pair did not get on the pitch in the second game either.
Ominously for Segecic the Aussie forwards had a more impressive second game.
The only consolation - they did not come back injured!!
