Australia played New Zealand on Friday night. Australia played poorly and were lucky to win 1-0. Neither Matthews or Segecic got onto the pitch. However, the poor performance may have created a better chance for them in the return fixture on Tuesday.
Unfortunately the Pompey pair did not get on the pitch in the second game either. Ominously for Segecic the Aussie forwards had a more impressive second game. The only consolation - they did not come back injured!!
