I`m properly nervous about this one - mainly because one of my best mates is a Palace fan...praying for a draw - couldn`t stand him if we lose to them - he`ll be Billy Big Bollox if we do (even worse if we get thumped!)

This will be our first big test against a very good Premiership team, and thats even without Eze and Wharton being injured

Yeah, solid across the park and with players who can hurt us. Welcome to the premier league really.

We have our own solidity and dangerous players though so it's another game that is shaping up to be a good one.

Really looking forward to this. Think this is the first real big indicator of where we are against a decent Premier league team who will not be in danger of relegation this season and likely to finish top 10!

If they can go out and give real good showing of themselves against these away from home in a match which is early in their time playing together it will be a really positive indicator even if we come away with 0 points. A good performance and points on the board will be even better. My head saying a spirited loss but my hearts saying a professional well organised performanc and a win!

Great Thread RTB many thanks I reckon there will only be 1 goal but I've no idea which team scores it. Would definitely take a 0-1 away win and a statement victory ✌️

Thanks again @RTB for a great thread. I’m going to shy away from a prediction and just hope we give a good account of ourselves against a good solid team. We are going to get better and this will give us a good indicator of how we are doing and / or how much we will need to improve. Our deadline day signings are still going to need time to bed in and get used to the rest of the team. I’d be over the moon with a point but for me it’s how we perform as a team

Apart from the collar which flaps about like it’s stretched.

We will have to wear black blue and red clash with both other kits.

Cheers as always RTB, agree with all of the above, Palace are a really strong top 10 PL side with pace and power, that said, witnessing our first three games, I think we can have a real go at these, it’s not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination, however with this team I’m really excited (not cocky) and looking forward about going into every game in the PL, been a long time since I’ve said and felt that feeling, we were supposed to going down, gutted it will be my first missed match this season haway haway haway

Am I right in thinking Palace have a few injuries to key players ?

Is RLB's press conference today or tomorrow?

Dont know if I dreamt it, but I am sure its been reported that all our international players came back unscathed from international duty?

Great thread as ever - good to have the normal football back. I am ever the optimist but feel this may be a very tough game and we may come back with no points. I am really interested to see how we perform as we go into a relatively more difficult run of fixtures.
