I saw something stating we didn't include a buy back clause. Probably as it was all done last-minute before the deadline last year.
Man City sponsor deal with Etihad is rumoured to be worth £1.75 billion. Aramco need to step up and sponsor us for £2 billion.
Yeah heard borson talking about an escalator deal. But we’ve been saying for three years how Saudi should do this and do that, they dont and most likely won’t bother. The new fella will cut some above board deals im sure, but the chance of us suddenly growing testes and pushing through deals for Saudia, Aramco, etc, are fanciful at best. As I said I reckon the backing down agreement was to let this slide through, then the PL will issue a “huge” fine to city and that will be the end of it. Cartel intact, PSR watertight and stopping growth, and onwards to a 64 team “champions league”, etc.
I see Mr Wissa has just scored again for DR Congo against Senegal... Hope he keeps the little run going on Satda!
Having thought it through I think the initial pessimism is potentially unfounded. City’s sponsorship deals will set a new benchmark, one which will enable more lucrative deals for everyone but particularly us. With a new CEO in place we could now look to cash in on better sponsorship deals. This could open the door to the next phase of growth for us. With our owners we could take advantage of this opportunity better than the others.
They didn't sign a player with prem experience to start on the bench. The German will probably get that treatment though.
