Yeah man, meant to reply first time but didn't sorry. I haven't seen it or else I would have had a pint no doubt. Where I'm working, and this looks like being my last week down here, the Bath Ales and Butcombe Ales are popular, as is Cider of course. Having said that, I plumped for Old Speckled Hen for a sharp pint after work last night, never fails. I drink ale all year round but in winter switch to the dark ones or a nice porter. Summer is for the light flowery ones, and sometimes even a lager. I went shopping in Cardiff a couple of saturday's ago mate and ended up having about four pints of Stella as no where we nipped into had a decent ale. Scandalous.
fair to middling, fair to middling, being doing some moonlighting to subsidise crimbo, it will be my last bout of tonight though, shattered at to be honest, and looking forward to friday's beer o'clock!
I thought Stella was known pretty universally as 'Wifebeater', oh and.................... .......................FAIL
She was with me so no. We had a very wierd full days shopping with no corss words. Tunns, we went to one pub on Mill Lane the name of which escapes me for a minute and as it was rugger bugger day all the tables had been moved so we went in the Marriot after not bothering with your faves down there for the same reason as above. After that we only went in the St Davids 2 and went to TGI's (!!!) for a drink whilst waiting for a table at Cafe Rouge. Kind of explains the lack of ale really.
Our local has taken out regular Stella and introduced this "Stella 4" which tastes like **** and is definitely weaker than the original
gotcha Chops. I wouldn't even attempt mill lane this time of year, did you notice the old King cross at the Hayes end of mill lane has been gutted and made a bit up market now going under the new name of The Corner House. Cafe Rouge the Confit Duck and Sauvignon Blanc there is errm ...... ****ing ace! and the restaurant manager is a Red!
we both play in red numbnuts, so if I refer to red to my esteemed fellow United fans they understand the concept, where as if I said another colour they would think I was barking anyway WE are possibly more scarlet than plain old red which has a hint of decaying rodent radiating from it! oh and when I was a school kid you were either a red or blue or a divvy
Well I had to try it out, just to see what it was like. Managed 3 pints of it before I decided enough was enough. The best pint of lager now available in the pub is bloody Fosters! (it's actually not too bad, but it's still Fosters)
i did a spot of bar work the other night for some extra crimbo dosh, it felt like all I served all night was Fosters, I drove home after that and all I could smell was the bloody stuff, felt like I'd been on a bender and rolled around on the bar floor in the stuff.
If I have to drink lager I drink staropramen.. An rhc I am not Spanish, family emigrated 10 years ago .
