We all know that the prime motivation of the football authorities is to squeeze as much money as they can out of the game, hence the inexorable introduction of new competitions and expansion of existing ones wherever possible. Teams like Andorra and San Marino being put up against the likes of England, Germany, France etc will rake in more shekels than if they were to play each other in a qualifying round.
Exactly this. It's so frustrating to just be getting into the swing of the new season only for it to grind to a halt after 3 games.
A new staff member has been announced. Gary Probert from ipswich town is joining to mange player loans.
I've always been of the opinion there should only be two international windows. One in summer one in winter. (Generously give internationals 6 weeks each window... Which would work out a out what they have now anyway) They wouldn't necessarily need all 6 weeks, the rest would be rest time for players. Will get a better product for both club football and international football that way. Nations could really work on strategies more (and also need to manage the health of players)... And for club football less interruptions.
Better yet. Give them 3 days mid week like ye olden days. Then have a game each weekend for the clubs. 2 weeks for them to force in their **** gsmes against **** opponents is totally unnecessary. Let's look at it seriously Did tuchel need any more than 2 days with players to come up with that pile of puke v andorra? (Easy answer, give him any more time and ot only gets worse)
There's what, about 200 associations registered with FIFA. Thankfully Tuchel is only allowed to manage one at a time. Although the Twochel jokes would make it worthwhile if he were allowed a second nation to manage. Nonetheless, I don't think the time allowed should be dictated by Tuchel's ability.
Sweden 2-0 down after 75 mins and Isak still sat on bench. Not sure why he was called up - surely would have benefitted if he stayed at LFC and had a bit of a 2 week pre season
You wuld have imagined so. Certainly wasting 2 days of training at full tilt by sitting on a bench. Seems to have been a media stunt more than anything, to get in front of press amd talk
15 mins internationals... So about the equivalent intensity of 7.5 mins in the premier League. Still better than nothing I guess. Quite selfish of Howe not to give him more training minutes during the summer.
Yeah..pif should be sacking howe for costing them 25mil on the fee amd pushing tje pkayer out the door. If he stayed newcastle would have had a major issue. As it stands we are going to bench him like chiesa and play Ekitike lol
H He hasn’t jumped onto the crowd, offered to fight all of them and get an international ban yet, that’s when he lives up to Núnez
