The Football Association has begun the disciplinary hearing into claims that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez racially abused Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

Suarez was accused of racially abusing Evra during Liverpool's 1-1 draw with United at Anfield in October.

The Uruguayan has categorically denied using any racist language towards Evra and Liverpool have backed the player over the incident

Suarez has been charged with abusing Evra, and referring to his "ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race" by the FA.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been critical of the FA for the amount of time it has taken in trying to resolve the issue.

The hearing is expected to last for two days with the outcome expected by the end of the week. Both players are due to give evidence to the hearing.

So what do we all think the outcome will be?

Cynic in me believes they (The FA) want to make a point regardless of innocence and will throw the book at him, 3 game ban minimum ( break down maybe 6 games with 3 suspended) and hefty fine.. if that’s the case then in a perfect world, you’d hope John Terry will get a similar ban, but we know that won’t happen, heck, he (Terry) hasn’t even been charged yet, was there not more evidence against JT than they ever found against LS? Double standards at work again?
Another example of double standards, LS flips the bird and is up on a charge, Harry Redknapp basically calls the ref something that rhymes with an anchor and gets a slapped wrist!

They would like Suarez to miss some critical games during the festive period, or maybe maybe they are
    trying to save their faces.<doh>

I have a bad feeling that he is going to be made an example of, 6 game ban possibly and a fine, I understand the use of negrito is acceptable in South America but to be honest I would not expect the f.a to understand this because they are just plain stupid, they will prob just say it's not acceptable in England. The worst thing about this is Evra know's what negrito mean's and he know's it's not meant as an offensive gesture but he is such a litttle **** he is doing his best to get one of his fellow pro's banned.

probably just part of fergies campaign to destroy suarez' reputation - he started it all calling suarez a diver after a game where his players were doing all the diving

They have to discover if anything was said in a derogatory way. If the term he used is not used to insult where he comes from, the FA have no case to punish him. i honestly think they will make an example of him and will let Terry off the hook. Let's face it, how can they punish the England captain?

Yeah, but he's English. He can do no wrong in their eyes, look at all the previous England players who have got away with flipping off people, but you get a foreign player doing the same and he must pay!

The Fergie Association could do anythin

Redknapp not charged for swaering on TV in middle of day, Suarez charged for putting finger up not on TV when being abused by fans, when many others have got away with doin exactly the same thing????????????

    Baffling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I think nothing will happen. There will be "inconclusive" evidence and trial will be over.

Not sure myself, even though the charge is nonsense I can't see the FA letting suarez get away without a ban.
