May have sold for £1m, but they also lost the 2nd best player for nothing to Arsenal as well. So only really got £500k for each one.

I think the owners lost interest when they spent time and money building a title winning team, only for it to generate next to nothing in revenues, have half the players walk away (cause of short term women's contracts) and the rest be plucked by the nouveau riche of Manchester.

They'll probably escape relegation cause Leicester are a bigger mess, but that'll be the only reason.

However while the league makes **** all money and Chelsea and Arsenal are able to just have whoever they want and have two squads, there really isn't much point in the women's team at the moment. Why bother when legacy relies on spending more and more while the team isn't paying back on that investment and will just leave to sit on a bench cause they got a better offer.

Point in fact, the former LWFC VC, Taylor Hinds left for Arsenal this summer, she got 3 minutes yesterday. Clearly not seen as first choice, so shes gone from being a key player, playing every game, to one who has to rely on another player getting injured for starts.

People are paying record fee after record fee and certain men's clubs are flogged these women's teams off to themselves.

That feels like they know the values are fake and no better time for taking the opportunity to boost their mens teams.

While sky have it they are giving it away for free (bar adverts) as they know nobody is going to pay for sky sports to watch it.

Hopefully a full detachment of the means and women's game happens and the oil states who are chauvinist and misogynistic will drift out.

Im reading that in future the September and October international windows will be merges into and abomination of a 4 game window where we get to miss real football for 3 solid weeks.

Aka they **** us right over.

There's no way they could arrange these windows to suit me other than kick 'em into touch.

On international football they need to stop creating "countries" and have a pre qualifying tournament for the likes of Andorra , San Marino etc

Andorra has been a country since 1814, San Marino since 1291

    Some recent created countries there.

Can't complain about them if a country like England can only beat them 2-0, that's a competitive scoreline (if not match perhaps). If it had finished 10/20-0 then it would devalue the qualifies in terms of mismatching teams.

The problem with international qualifies it the fact they disrupt the season, literally had 3 games and now we have an almost 2 week break.

ah the countries thing was the likes of Gibraltar but still think Andorra , San Marino , Luxembourg etc should he whittled down in some sort of pre qualifying to reduce the actual qualifying groups down to say 5 per group max

Im disgusted they want to pack in 4 gsme into what will be 2 games per week then throw the players back at us flogged.

Holland played Thursday and today. Gakpo and vvd played 90 in each. That's like playing European football i guess.

If you now said ok you get another 2 in the week then ehat happens? They play Wednesday and Saturday and get 7 days to recover?

I doubt it. They'll start later then run the players into the ground and return them fatigued.

The south Americans will certainly take the piss with it.

The only way I'd allow a full 3 weeks break is to say ok you must leave a full week recovery after for players.

    I agree.

However right now the groups for the world cup are 4/6 team.groups so only 6 games for some.

It used to be 6 or 8 teams or whatever.

The problem is they went and played that pointless nations league amd them friendless rather than get on with the qualifying.

I would fully agree that these semi pro to amateur team need to go into prequalifying like what happens in other confederation.

I'd be perfectly happy to see them have a knockout round to dismiss the worst ****e out and reduce the games again.

Noce to have a few players. Wirtz, szobo and Mac all capable of taking a decent direct free kick it seems.

    Szobo has power
wirtz has the knuckle up and down
Mac with the more conventional old school curl

Thry give him 76mins last day.

I'd expect they show the slightest bit of caution given they have mores games in a month.

75 mins again would make more sense

I look at it in a more positive way, he’s getting much needed minutes in the tank so hopefully no rust when he gets back out there for us
