Speaks really well and comes across as a good bloke, but **** me, he was ****e.

I’m still absolutely convinced a half decent manager would’ve kept that side up, as crap as it was.

Not with the goal keeping options and lack of goals we had then. A decent keeper or striker would probably have made the difference but without them it was always touch and go. Our leading goal scorer that season was Grabban with 12 from 19 games, but he was recalled by Bournemouth at the end of December. The next highest was McGeady with 7 and Honeyman with 6. If we'd kept Grabban it might have given have made the difference same as having a decent keeper would have. We didn't have too many heavy beatings that season, mostly odd goal defeats. Not conceding or scoring a few more would have kept us up. But with Lee Camp in goal and our forwards barely scoring a goal after New Year, it was always too much.

A semi competent goalkeeper would have kept us up, 3 of them all as dreadful as each other

That’s what I think was our downfall that year. It all started with Grayson mind. Steel and Rutier im sure are decent people but neither were good enough. The less said about Camp the better.

I had no problem when we appointed him. Didn't work out because he was missing a small piece of what made the Wales set up tick.....Gareth Bale. Plus Chris always spoke like he had a burp stuck in the back of his throat.

Lee Camp seemed to be able to defy physics. He's the only man I've ever seen who managed to dive in slow motion and let solid objects pass through him.

Absent chairman refusing to fund us properly, arsehole chief executive, 2 useless managers and disinterested players. What could possibly go wrong? :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Not Coleman related but I’m up to the part where Will Grigg has arrived. In his first interview he said “I’m really proud to be here.” Well actually Will that was a little bit of a fib wasn’t it?

He’s not a great manager but I genuinely think he’d have got us back up with the squad Ross had. I don’t think SD and CM could afford his wage though.

I was at Burton Albion, under him and won it 2-0

that away end was incredible and we all came out saying, thats it, thats the turning point, we will be fine.

Sorry to hijack the thread but my outstanding memory of him being appointed was my brother received a text message from his friend informing him of the news entirely in Latin :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Seemed a natural leader but didn’t have the coaching ability to get the team set up to perform well. Almost an old fashioned manager. A better team around him who knows but he was poor where it mattered.
