    6 match ban for Suarez.

Outside drugs cheats and match fixers, I wonder if Suarez is the most banned player yet? Can only think of Cantona who might have more.

What I couldn’t believe is that Evra has been literally training to be an MMA star and has basically called out Suarez

for me Evra had major issues
Suarez made it easy but Evra is a **** of the highest order imho

I hadn't read the full 100-odd page report for over a decade, but I found it on an old hard drive last month. I dunno where I've put it again now! But what jumped out to me again across all those years is just how much of all this rested upon whom the panel believed most, as there was an undeniable dearth of clear, objective evidence (and what there was completely contradicted Evra's original story). They believed Evra because he spoke better English and, undeniably, had the far bigger weight of public sympathy on his side. And, of course, Suarez was a twat.

Nonetheless, every contradiction and downright falsehood told by Evra was waffled away and excused - for instance, they eventually had to admit that the whole confrontation and its aggressive nature was started by Evra with a Spanish oath, but that is okay because... Evra was apparently 'understandably' still upset about a foul 5 minutes before. Yet this act in itself was a transgression of Rule 3A! It goes downhill from there onwards, like the trial of Blackadder.

Look, Suarez is vile and deserved to be punished, but those who conducted that report should look back and hang their heads at the utterly farcical way in which those investigations and conclusions were carried out. Not because they punished Suarez - he deserved a ban of sorts - but because they deified Evra in doing so. They could have punished Suarez AND punished Evra for being a lying, devious ****house, but let's be honest - there was a political agenda behind all of this, especially as they couldn't get to Terry at the time.

After Saint posted the link to the Suarez article, the first response was Donga with this - "Could there ever be a more antithetical human being to Mo Salah? The talent is similar: the character is opposite"

And the discussion went from there mate which is why character and playing ability have both been mentioned. I don't think anyone thinks that if someone says they see Suarez as hands down the better player, they are endorsing the poor behaviour that went along with it. I like having a player with a bit of snide like Suarez, we've become a bit soft of late. I didn't dislike that side of him at all (biting aside). I see him and Salah as completely different and would choose Salah over him every time. Maybe I prefer his more 'refined' style, I don't know.

I know dan burn has no experience of that thing they call "foot"ball but can someone please tell him to stop dancing on the ball and pass it on. Just move it.

    Tragic forwards.

    Madueke and rashford. My God.

Tuchel haa killed the midfield. Rice far in advance of the ball rather than being a cm.
