Dont know about you guys but when I'm innocent of bumming young lhads, but are accused of bhumming nearly 100 of them, I'm not dragging it out for 20 years then offering a settlement.

I'd want my day in court.

If I were guilty of being a heartless ***** enabling nonce, though, I'd drag it out for 20 years, wait until some of the victims developed life changing illnesses or died, then present my victims with a scenario whereby I could point to some of the deceased and say to them, "I've got £100m in the bank, the best lawyers money can buy, and I'll be about longer than any of you so either accept a measly recompense or I'll just keep denying it until you all die"

 

That'll be subdivided and turned into an Airbnb in 18 months.
