Sure 'away fans' would prefer to have away games! As skint as people are, City fans always find money for the footy
I Agree with you FT about Jan being a good month for us fans who go away. As for Sheff United, NOOOOOO I hate going to Bluntsville, the only good thing about it is that its only an hour up the road. I will be at the cup game, as i am for every game!
T.T. now will you have the same eye liner on again as like derby and coventry or will you have a new one on for the cup game ?
yes but City have some expensive away games in February. Namely Portsmouth on the 4th and Cardiff(maybe) on the 25th ? a month of home games in jan will benefit all of us especially our wallets. lol.
I agree, I'm not a season-ticket holder any more but I turned up to watch that ****e back in August. I should either get an extra £2 off or a freebie for this match
Is it worth the likes of Chester and Rosenior picking up a 5th yellow in the Derby game - would the game they miss then be the cup game against Ipswich?
That game's on Monday the 2nd isn't it, so there's about 5 days before the Ipswich game? What are the rules about reds/yellows that take a week to 'process'? Could be that they'd miss *****borough at home, and that's a game where you need your best defenders!
Obviously, the cup game would be the ideal game to ghet suspended for. Just question of getting booked in right game. Wouldn't it be strange coincidence if both got booked for kicking ball away in final minute of game.
It certainly happens. I remember once at the KC playing Cardiff when in the last minute one of their strikers kicked the ball away very over-dramatically, almost deliberately... It turned out that they wanted him to get his 5th booking so he would be suspended for the next game against Leeds, which he couldn't play anyway because he was on loan from them.
Will be missing the game due to exam preperation and essays to write, but hope we can buck the trend of our poor cup form and make a decent attempt with the FA cup this year.
I can't remember us ever having a good cup run. Millwall reached the FA Cup final in 2004, Cardiff in 2008 (West Brom and Barnsley being in the Semis that year as well). Tranmere reached the League Cup final in 2000, Birmingham in 2001. Either Crystal Palace or Cardiff will this year. It's not impossible for second-tier sides to do well in the cups, so it'd be nice to see us take at least one of them seriously at some point.
True. We haven't had a decent cup run since 2008/9 when we got cheated on by Arsenal and the referee in the quarter final.
in chesters case YES. rosie is only on 3 at the moment. but if he were to pick another then the same answer..YES. ASSUMING that no more bookings are taken b4 the fa cup game then as i posted elsewhere, any player on 3 or 4 yellows should not be played in the cup game.
mike riley the ref of this ^^^^^ game was promoted to chief ref. at the end of that season. guess it was the lesser of the 2 evils and the job took him off the pitch. i remember the espn programme (which covered the game) totally slaughtered mike riley and his linesman and said the things anyone else @ hull city would have been fined for.
on no T.T. never mentioned another party. looks like its back to beryl in the chip shop and my battered haddock most nights.
