Cracking little pub, you should also try The Peveril of the Peak just up the road. That's a great old pre match favourite.
Been there, done that. I prefer Britons Protector, but it's pretty bloody expensive. £3.40 for a pint of Carling, and don't ask about the malt
What the **** are you drinking Carling for??? Jesus, there must be a few ales you can sample in there.
chops I sent you a post about Elbow's real ale called Build a Rocket Boys, the cd is the pump badge, don't know if you saw the post, but have a look out for the stuff, it's actually a good ale, bit of a quaffer!
I'm not really a 'real ale' type. I used to like Greenall's bitter, but I'm afraid drinking (or attempting to drink) Mitchells and Butler and Ansells at university put me off bitter for life.
Talking of drinking. Can you remember when KPR was giving it large about how many WKD's he can drink in one night ? He got absolute ripped to pieces on here for that one
It's easier to get on with other Liverpool fans now he has gone. He wound people up so much that you just tarred all the Liverpool fans with the same brush. I had some arguements on here with Liverpool fans alot more in the past due to his posts winding me up. It was good to see in the end when Liverpool fans starting come public and telling him to **** off rather than just PMing us
Been a bit of a narkey **** lately if i'm honest... My nephew lodger came very close to a severe beating last week.. though i had suitably scared the **** out of him... until today when the fat **** is taking ****ing liberty's again.. Shall i just chin the **** and suffer the wrath of my family?? he is at the age when he is pushing th boundaries and i find myself losing the plot on a regular basis.. debating kicking him out as well as kicking the **** out of him... though to do this would also be at the behest of my mrs as she thinks he is wonderful an wasnt too impressed by me grabbing him round the throat last week. basically yes i am a miserable twat at the moment...
Give the cheeky c..t a good crack......... .........and sort the nephew out as well, piss-taking f..ker
M&B decades ago can't really rememeber that much about it. My first pint I bought in a pub was a brown split, in this case it was 1/2 pint of Ansell's Mild and a bottle of brown ale, ..... the food of Gods I thought at the time. Can't remember the last time I saw either of those two drinks in a pub.
I spent years in the wilderness as a lager drinker but came back to ale a good few years ago. None of it bears any resemblance to your student days, honestly. 'Tis good stuff.
I tend to only drink ale in the winter months... cider during the summer.. lets be fair lager is for southerns twatz such as SKY.. only issue with not liking lager is when in town an most places dont sell proper ale.. I refuse to drink ****e like john smiths or boddingtons.. therefore I get the old guiness down my neck..
I'm ok dude, bored out my brain at work this time of year!!! other than that and the delinquent nephew positively radiant. your goodself?
Have you seen my response to your query? Unless it's personal, why's he lodging with you and not with his mum/dad/both?
