Bloke comes across as an arrogant prick, I bet he rubs so many people up the wrong way without having anything to back up that arrogance.
Dodds will be away from Wycombe soon Reading some of the comments on social media after last night. Their fans can’t stand the bloke… Am I surprised? Not one tiny bit.
It's getting reported now that that was the case. Rubbed up players and staff the wrong way, the way he conducted himself over Xhaka is supposed to have annoyed his bosses. He criticised his players for not being fit enough, despite being in charge of preseason. It seems Leverkusen worked out quickly it was a mistake and got rid before he could do any damage.
The clubs have to take a large part of the blame in my opinion. Ten Haag, Amorim and Russell Martin are all square pegs that really don't seem to fit the holes they've been hammered into ... ... it may surprise you to know that I'm not actually a trained psychologist but I'd say all three strike me as slightly deranged
Sky Sports reporting Levy has stepped down https://www.skysports.com/football/...-as-tottenham-hotspur-chairman-after-25-years
Tottenham executive chairman Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role after 24 years at the helm of the club. Levy was appointed in March 2001 and leaves after the club won the Europa League last season as they ended a 17-year wait for a trophy. "I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees," said Levy. "We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community. "I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years. "I wish to thank all the fans that have supported me over the years. It hasn't always been an easy journey but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately." Tottenham said Peter Charrington would become non-executive chairman of the club, a new role. Charrington, a director of Tottenham's owners ENIC, was appointed to the Spurs board in March as a non-executive director. Tottenham may have won a European trophy last season, but the success came amid the backdrop of a difficult Premier League campaign in which Spurs finished 17th under Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked in the summer and replaced by Thomas Frank. There were a number of protests aimed at Levy last season, with prominent banners at the home defeat by Leicester, bearing the messages "Our game is about glory, Levy's game is about greed" and "24 years, 16 managers, 1 trophy - time for change". There were also regular chants of "Levy out" during the campaign. Levy oversaw the club's switch from White Hart Lane to the state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has also described Tottenham as the "most profitable club in Premier League history" because of the money their new stadium generates, a historically lower wage structure and a "degree of caution" on transfer spending.
Built them into a ‘global heavyweight’ financially … … the team had a terrible finish, last season, and look no better now.
Have to disagree. This side looks a lot better so far. A lot down to Frank but also some astute signings. Will be challenging top 6 imo.
TBF finishing top six still doesn’t make them a global heavyweight … … they won’t win the title and sixth place is about their limit in my opinion. If that makes them a global heavyweight then so are Brighton and Forest tbh, I doubt Spurs are almost twice as good as last season. Perhaps I should say ‘they don’t look significantly better’.
Agree, was just responding to the view the team look no bettee than last year. For me they are a lot better, but time will tell.
Yes I’ve corrected that, my error, I just don’t see a team with Richarlison, leading the line, being credible.
Be interesting to see how Muani goes. I like him. Also Solanke is a good player imo. Three CF to share the load, lets see.
My prediction is they will go backwards without him. Reminds me of David Gill. Sometimes people are right for a club.
They do look better. But I wonder how they'll get on at home sometimes. He has kitted his team out with pace, so they will be a bit like Brentford when they're away. But Brentford played like that at home too, and he'll not be able to do that with Spurs. It'll come down to that I think.
He'll have canned himself mind. He absolutely ran that place. He, or his family, will be very wealthy people if he sells the shares they own. I think it's about 30%.
I've really no idea what that is tbh, but I wish we'd won it I lost track of all these competitions because it's just endless ... ... I've no idea what all these internationals are either, England could be playing a friendly for all I know.
